New Tesoro model teribbly overdue !!!!

I would hope that 2012 will see a new Tesoro detector model.............. as it is now their lineup is very dated. A Tesoro dealer told me that he will reduce the amount of Tesoro detectors he carries if a new model doesn't come out soon. If new models keep on coming, it increases sales, Fisher and Garrett have introduced new models into their line up and I think it's Tesoro's turn now. Anybody like a "new" Tesoro besides me???

That would be nice.

Vaquero with multiple tones, and notch like golden umax.

Sort-of hard to improve on profection gentleman/ladies.

So you want Tesoro to change a few knobs & switchs around (& call it the new whis bang gotta have Detector). Shease ! Really, they have all the bases covered by the current line of MDers. If & when they come out with a real deal-changer improvement I'm sure they will.

HaRM ! !

I'm not sure where they can go in terms of a new md, maybe in the circuitry? I see a good deal of posts were the older Tesoros are still getting raves and seem to work as good, or as some say, better than today's Tesoros. Based on my experience with Etrac, DFX and F75, the Vaquero performed better with no chatter, accurate disc, pinpointing, and in some cases better with depth. You can't beat the cost/performance ratio. Lets just hope they don't realize they can raise prices anther 25% and still sell them.

I too would love to see a new Tesoro. I'll always have one, but I'm still going to get something with newer technology like the G2.

I still like the old ones, and have a couple. I just bought a Nautilus, so as for new technology, it just ain't important to me right now. :beers:

Water proof for under 400.00...? That would sell.

I am happy with my Tejon & vaquero. I have had the detectors with all the bells and whistles, just couldn't be happier with what I have now. I do notice when a new detector comes on the market that's supposed to be the answer to detecting, I'll see them on the classified for sale! Very few Tesoro are on the classifed and when they are, they sell fast!

I must ask you guys what is the new technology that other company's are bringing out. A MD emits a electro magnetic field and it recieves the disturbance and from that the metal detector tells you what the target might be. That has not changed. So a digital screen? Long learning curve. I agree with a new type of detector, but there isn't new technology since the auto ground balance. Most of what they call new is marketing!
My $.02 anyways.

didnt say it was just thought it would be a new machine for Tesoro ? dont get me wrong i have 4 Tesoros and love them.

I agree that we need to come out with something new. Be patient with us. We are working to satisfy you guys with this topic.

Hey Robert! This is a first! We agree!

I would like to see Tesoro add a couple of features to their existing machines. A three tone Vaquero or Tejon would be awesome, but I don't want to see them add a bunch of useless crap to a detector and release it as a new machine. Tesoro will release new machines when they feel like they
have something to improve their existing lineup. Until then I'm perfectly happy with their present detectors and will continue to support the best detectors made.

I was strongly considering an Excal, but I'm thinking I just want to go with the Tiger shark for lakes around here, and then maybe a Sand shark later for when I go to the beach. If it's over metal, it beeps. That's good enough for me.

it is getting worrying that nothing new is coming out ,some bright spark will make a break thru one of these days and they will all get shafted if theyre not carefull. new chips are always being introduced ,so who knows whats around the corner ?acoustical magnetometer ,GPR , 3d imaging ??some other crazy unthought of idea ?
if eddison and teslar hadnt thought outside the box with their crazy ideas we wouldnt have a global electrical power system .at the time they were thought crackpots !
wireless headphones would be a good start ,if XP and Whites can do it why not others ?
and a USB update of system software on board ?
depth and more accurate ID of materials would be nice.and in a light package as well.
belt mountable needs to be an option .
the XP Deus is a state of the art design .for example

Again, be patient with us. Thats all I can say!
