New Sovereign Model To Be Released This Spring!

 Sorry. Just couldn't help it after getting tricked myself. You see, I too had forgot what day it was when I saw the subject header of a post in the main forum about great finds hunting a cemetery. I was all ready to rip this guy a new one when he said it was an April Fools joke. I think they call it that for a good reason, because we all manage to forget what day it is just about every year and get fooled by somebody.

One year my mom was throwing rocks at a bird that was dive bombing a squirrel in the tree in her front yard. At the time she had a nosey neighbor across the street that was eager to stick her nose into every body's business. I called my mom using a different voice and told her that I was an APL advocate and that we had received a complaint of animal abuse from that neighbor, so we were taking her to court. She about went through the roof, saying something like wait until I get my hands on that lady! Couldn't stop laughing for hours after that. My mom is the most peaceful person you ever met but I swear she was ready to march across the street and do some damage.

You had me fooled.

You set the Hook too Hard on me, I was getting ready to unload 2 Garrett Ace 250 that I won in Treasure Hunts last Year.Should be easy to Sale with the Price of Gold today-Goldnugget-Charlotte,North Carolina

Just thought I'd bring this April Fools joke back to the surface of the thread to see if it would snare a few more people. Sorry...

Well Critter, that was good - but LiPo's in water???

Karma man... that's all I can say.... Karma....

Are they really explosive around water? Never read that. I know that Lipos (not lithium ion) use for RC planes and such are supposed to be disposed of in water. You cut the battery leads (one at a time!) and then stick the battery in a bucket of salt water for a few days in order to drain them dead.

Critt you got me on that one , LOL

Now that is something that realy got me, I'm still laughting. but about your the story of the APL advocate!
Abel

Oh Great and i sent Minelab a letter asking Good one Critter  next time i will pay attention to the post date Jim

I was thinking-I KNEW I should of waited another year before I bit the bullet on the Sov. Now I gotta sell it already! Then checked the posting date and figured what was coming. Especially with way too many new improvements all at the same time. But in the meantime my heart was in my throat, so in a way I'm glad it wasn't true. But It was still a wicked good one!:stars:

Tseeker - I was thinking; hmmm, if they are coming out with a new one, I will have to buy at least one more GT just to have spare parts for myself.... I ain't selling it!:twodetecting:

Critter, you need to get out detecting more (Idle hands are the devils workshop)...u are bad!....lol

With that said...where do I sign up for the new rig?

I hope you arerfight on this, but I will believe it when I see it . Especially the lower cost

Tell me about it. Not having a job the highlight of my day is surfing the web. So sad... Can't go out detecting every day. Have to save my gas for handing out resumes here and there too.

In light of the recent conversation about a "dream" dual water/land "do it all" BBS machine, thought I'd bump this dream list from a year ago back to the top of the forum. Always fun to speculate and dream a little. Besides, April ain't too far off so might as well get the prank out of the way now and beat the rush...

In advance I once again apologize for being so cruel here, but hey...I've been taken myself a number of times on April 1st, so don't feel so bad. Happens to the best of us and it's all in good fun anyway... Now nobody has to worry about me pulling a prank come April, as I did my Christmas shopping early and got it out of the way...

Did you guys see this...?

And if anybody got fooled twice here and never saw that old thread where Crazyman worked his magic with 3D modeling software, shame on me once again. Very sorry... Minelab should put him on the payroll and make this stinking thing already! With the low R&D involved since you'd be pretty much using the same GT motherboard with perhaps a few minor tweaks (a remote PP switch for instance is nothing but jumpering to the existing mode switch the GT already has...I put one on my GT and it's fantastic), and say adding the ability to throw a waterproof meter between the coil and the machine like we can do now with regular meters, you'd be giving people even more incentive- keep the meter on in the water for kicks, or take it off for less drag in the water, and of course to throw it on for land hunting. How much more "versatile" can you get here in a low hassle land/water dual purpose unit?

Another perk to it's versatility- Still is hip or chest mountable like the GT's current configuration, so for land or water you can keep the control box on the shaft or on your body. Man, this whole thing just falls right into place like the perfect pieces to a puzzle. Why in the world isn't this machine being built already? Just too many things that all add up to instant market success at very low R&D costs...
