New Names, Your Choice!

Depends on who your target market is: If you're targeting young new detectors who are motivated by what they see on tv then pick a "cool" name throw in lots of letters (Z and X are very popular) and make sure you have a VDI and buttons. They will feel knobs are dated and not cutting edge. The lifetime warranty on that model probably won't be necessary either because they will tire of the hobby quickly and be on to the next tv inspired hobby. If you're targeting the serious hunter, regardless of age, go with a subdued name and color scheme that won't make the owner feel silly or understate how serious the machine really is or look dated 5 years from now, black/silver tends to be a timeless choice.

I will take one , sign me up I can hardly wait. Forget the name, I will put masking tape on the sides and when you decide on a name I will write it in. No matter what you call the new detector it will be a good one because it's a Tesoro. I have a V cibola and a golden umax and have plenty of room for another Tesoro. :clapping:

Think I'll go with Paladin

I don't post often but wanted to chime in on this one....
Tesoro
Minero (miner)
Buscador (seeker, searcher)
Tiburon (shark)

Three types of machines here with names that I feel follow the theme
and are marketable and sound kinda good too!
Thanks Tesoro for making great detectors!

Tesoro Tejas sounds good

Tell us a little bit about the unit and that might help giving it an appropriate name. Just a suggestion to the powers to be....

If you are going to repackage something, why not just call it the orignal name, and add a II or a III or a IV at the end? You can call it the Outlaw II. :poke:
Nothing wrong with it. I'd like to see a Pantara II. or a Golden Sabre III. or a Cortez III uMax.

I'd like to see you make a Minelab contender. There....thats the name....the 'Contender' .

HH
Mike

Any clue about the new machine? Is it all terrain, underwater, gold prospecting, relic? It is weird to name something you don't know about...

Wraith
sounds menacing to me

Cazador

Tesoro storm sounds like it fits !
