NEW MINELAB GO-FIND 20 / 40 / 60 (X-TERRA replacement)

Well, the Go Find does have auto tracking like the 705, that is the V Felx part. Release for all 3 models of the Go Find is May........

Just wish it was a replacement for the Terra but with what I have heard is a hard wired coil ? and probably small size ? and the VFlex 2 being a lesser version that may stop me buying it ?

On another subject and this one we can talk about :)

Anyone heard about the new "multi frequency " coil for the Deus coming out later this year ? This is coming though don't know how many freqs it will punch out at the same time ? comes from a top source , Is being tested soon and released later this year if it works .

Had to mention and while I am at work , you lot can have a nose about looking for info . Not an early April fools joke , its real.
If it works with the Deus think what a revolution that will be !

Back to subject

Yes the 7 1/2 x 9 1/2 concentric coil is hardwired, waterproof up to the control handle, weighs less than the X-Terra, all plastic construction, ICONS only display with 4 tones on the 60 model, 3 on the 40 & 20. It will be a great entry level detector. The 60 will have smart phone apps with Bluetooth.

Might be worth a look , I have a place that could be used and the coil is just big enough.

it's real, here's a hands on vid of the detector and preliminary tests, it is in the middle of this vid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ya-p0aCc6-0&app=desktop

oh I get it they are aiming this at the iphone generation comprende  it sends txt messages :lmfao: upload finds on to facebook , poke your friends hey I found a pulltab :poke:

love it the detector you need when you don't want to detect

well done even if its quite scary its great marketing.

I think that I want one. I wish that it were waterproof like the SDC, but it's not a deal breaker.

The machine is interesting as I say but Minelab's or Codan's ideas and marketing do make me wonder about their sanity at times ! But with Bluetooth and all this Face ache rubbish does anyone really think the machine will be cheap ?

At $179USD for the 20 and just over $300USD for the 60, I would call them "inexpensive" for what you get.....but not cheap. "Cheap" would imply that they cut corners, and by all accounts so far that isn't the case.

That would depend on what you want to do Bruce. The Go-Find has auto GB Tracking like the 705, but can't change coils or frequencies like Xterras. They come with an 8" concentric coil on the 20, and 10" concentric on the 40/60. All are 7.8kHz, and weight is only 1Kg.

I hope so but this is UK here and here they know how to make the pips squeak :(

$300 in the US is likely to be near £300 here .

Still the 10in coil on the 60 may win me over .

Well, if I were a betting man, I would bet this is the first round of (smart phone) detectors they are going to introduce. I would go as far as to say they are testing the "cheapy" market first, and will introduce a more moderate to high end detector with far more features in the not so far future. 5 years in the making is far to long to only introduce an entry level machine with first ever smart phone capabilities and touch key pads.

* I kinda skimmed the entire video, (beings it was over an hour), so I am sorry if I am presuming something they may have discussed.

I am going to get a 60...I think with it being so compact it will be a great scout machine and one I can just keep with me in the vehicle...with a $300 retail it should be below that for an actual street price so not much more than an ace but you get compactness, auto tracking ground balance and a backlight to boot!

I think it is a shame that there is no wireless option. After owning both a CTX and Deus being hooked to the machine is a very big negative.

I plan to use my auvio wireless headphones with it park. it even has the smaller 1/8 jack like cell phones use so I wont even need an adaptor for the auvio transmitter

I am planning on doing the same. Also I see potential in having it in my pack that I hunt with for a back up machine as well.

remember these are meant as entry level machines just like the xterras replaced the mustangs, go-find is replacing the xterras, granted I would like the option of changing coils but this a single freq. vlf machine. and at this price point it, opens up the entry level market with something above the computation. dfly

How much delay do you experience that setup? I have heard before that there is some.
