New Fisher F-75 (a little info.)

Bill Ladd

New member
First off....I only know bits & pieces from yesterdays meeting @ First Texas. But, I was told it was OK to release some info. A couple things first.....Please DO NOT fill my privite message box or e-mail me for further info as this is all I know. I'm just getting bits & pieces myself by phone....I have no pictures or anything...I may know more later..
The new Fisher (under the sheet) DOES look in shape like a T2. Called the F-75 for the 75th anniversary of Fisher.....
But, it has all NEW software (not just a T2 w. fisher stickers). Seems First Texas has listened to lots of the suggestions by us T2 users & implemented many....
-Notching
-Backlight
-signal strength on screen
-new "confidence" readout (gives you ID percentages)
-more/better bottle cap ID's
& MORE....

Those losers who whine, "Oh, the new Fisher will just be an upgraded T2" are too funny!

That's like saying, "Oh, our new car will just be an improved Ferrari."

So Bill a new T2 from fisher. Newer software...Tell me if it is the next line in the T2 as far as growth and improvements but being sold by fihser, are you going to buy one? Why not offer an upgrade to the T2 owners?

I just thought of something...why are they calling it a 75 year anniversary edition detector? Shouldnt they call it the 1st edition? Because this is the first year that Fisher is owned by the new company
(sorry I was just bored and thought I would throw that out there) ha.ha.

Thanks for the info. I was just wondering if this was a dual frequency detector? Also when will it actually come available. If you can't answer either question; I completely understand...but was just curious.

also, I'm curious as what this will do to T2 sales, which in my opinion, the T2 is an awsome machine. But could be improved upon, but even if it's not improved upon, it's still a great machine.

I doubt FT is worried about losing T2 sales. The F75 will probably sell at a higher price point anyway due to the costs of the backlight and whatever other features have been added. Its a smart move on First Texas part actually.

Okay, so if they improve the F75 down the road will it still be a great machine? and what will they call that one? a Bounty Hunter?

Based on recent posts it seems that they have got the coils and the T2 shielded a little better. I hope so!

I won't to see them pictures. What kind a culls does it have. Does it float. I hope it aint very heavy. I an old fart. Im a buy me one of them T75 machines. Where can i get it at. Has that Kelico place down ther in Alabama got one. how much do one cost. thats allfor now

Hi,

The fact is that I am not nor am I inclined to be a Teknetics dealer. But I am a long-time Fisher dealer. So I think this is a smart move as it will put this machine into shops like mine that would otherwise not have seen it.

The MXT is a hot seller in my area due to it's ability to double as a Prospecting unit. The F-75 obviously will have the same potential so we will see what develops.

But was F-75 the best name they could come up with? Sounds like a Fisher utility unit.

Steve you are right F-75 really does not get it. The T2 is the "alien". Maybe we should call the F-75 the "Kolchak" because with the backlight it can be a Night Stalker. LOL

Of course Steve being that you are in Alaska you dont need a backlight unless you intend to hunt at -40.

MXT competition, I never considered that. You may have something there!

Fisher Black Magic - Conjure up new finds!

Fisher Terminator - Leaves other detectors for dead!

Fisher Penetrator - The Penetrator goes deeper. Now with ribbed coils!
