New detector in time for Spring????

Hombre said:
I never cared for the old Fisher detectors and never owned a FTP Fisher, so I don't have any opinion on the newer ones. In the past I have owned the 1266 and the CZ5, they love to make noise in the iron, more for more open or less targeted hunting spots. I had one Fisher that was decent in the iron nails, the 1236X2 I used to have was pretty good at the small ferrous junk, probably should have kept it. I prefer the quiet ride of my Outlaw that wades through the nails with some spits and sputters, but no false signals on them. Tesoro just makes the best iron discriminator on the market and it does not need an iron audio feature because the broken audio is enought information for me.

It is a quiet peaceful relaxing ride. The Outlaw is in its environment when searching through a bed of nails for treasure.

Tesoro and Canada, A missed market ???

My first detector was an ace 250 , heavily promoted by local dealer who only sells Garrett and whites . Not Tesoro:confused:

I didn't know better so I spent my $350 on special package. Told me its perfect for our steel coins.... Not true ,not accurate ,sold ace. Gave up detecting :surrender:

Tried teknetics 4000. Ok. Now got the bug again:detecting:

Learned of Tesoro on my own and from this great site!. Read the church of compadre and because of the low cost at under $200 I ordered one up fom dealer at other end of my country waited almost 2 weeks .
I can reject bobby pins and still get our steel money , cool , and I found plenty plus rings and gold . Within a month it's paid for . Love this little cheap machine,

Talked to strangers of my Tesoro and ended up selling them on 3 compadres ordered again from other side of my country!

I contacted our importer to sell tesoros here, I know I could sell them easily . Never got a reply?

In conclusion: Dealers can't sell what's not on the shelf ,but they should stock entry level units and not just give up. promote it ! Stock it , sell it !

People need to research themselves and not rely on what the dealer is pushing then ask untill they get what they want & not settle for crap brands

Tesoro is a machine that works freakishly well in our country and all most nobody knows they exist?

I will continue to promote tesoros even if I don't sell them ,yes they are that good !

Tesoro I hope your listening and don't miss the boat and give us a reason to wait ! PS there is market way up here TOO

I understand the secrecy about detialed info on the Caz, but I sure was hoping Tesoro would give us an idea on WHEN it will be released.

They need to make a souped up version of the Compadre, Deeper with the 180 Disc, and tab check and call it the Compedro...:bouncy:

That would be great

We should take up a collection
And appoint you CEO:thumbup:

Tesoro North. ,

Personally, I have found Tesoro to be the best detectors here in Canada. I've tried many makes and models but I always end up back here because they are so effective for our coins.

When is it going to be release and what are the changes over the F75SE? I haven't heard anything about it over in the Fisher Forum. Maybe you could start a whining tread over in the Fisher Forum and see if you can find out anything? I doubt you'll get any information about the F80 here in the Tesoro Forum. I'll watch for your thread.

Who knows...at least it will be worth the wait. Quite honestly I could really care less if :tesoro: provides their customers with any information or not. You should put a few more machines in your signature line, then it will REALLY make you look like you know what you are talking about.

Well in about 2 weeks we'll be into Spring.....................a good time to introduce a new detector...... how about it Tesoro?? Another thing that kind of surprised me. A dealer that i contacted, told me he is no lomger carrying Tesoro because nobody but the die hards even ask about it. He really shocked me when he said go to the Tesoro site and look under dealers...............for all of Canada ( a population of 32 million people) there are only 15 dealers....and of those only two have a website!!!! I asked him where have all the Tesoro dealers gone??? He simply said interest fuels demand..............and there is very little interest in Tesoro. This is why I can't understand why they won't put out their product? Why have a name contest if the detector is a year or two away from being produced.A bit of communication from Tesoro would be greatly appreciated..................am I out in left feild or does anyone else agree with me. What do you guys think? Thanks for your opinions.

I'm just spit ballin' here but if they are waiting to blow out inventories on a current model(s), where exactly are those inventories? If they are currently at the dealers, we've already gone through Christmas and the inventories should have been substantially reduced. If they still have large warehouse inventories, I would think they have a problem indicative of lack of distribution & sales. I say this because Christmas is gone & the tax return buying frenzy is winding down. My big concern is that their new release will be TOO MUCH, TOO LATE!

Just because Tesoro is coming out with a new model, doesn't mean that sales of other models will cease. For example the Compadre and the Silver

Me buy.
Me likes, me keep.
Me no like, me no keep.

Somehow these things have a way of working out on their own...

I remember seeing a post on the Tesoro Facebook page back in fall, where Tesoro said that they were going to make 2014 the best year ever...I waited all of Jan and most of Feb. for this new machine thinking it would be out already, but instead I went back to my first roots and bought a different detector online a week ago... Now I'm hearing on here that the new Caz might not be out till Summer???...Well if that happens, isn't Summer the prime time when all the visitor's are in your town and you want to be detector ready and not be learning a new machine at the same time!!!

:whites: Quantum 2, :tesoro: Silver Sabre uMax, :whites: M6(coming in the mail this week)

My dealer was shocked when I inquired about a Tejon a few months back. His words were along the lines of "I don't sell those anymore". When I asked whether or not he was telling me that he wasn't a Tesoro dealer anymore, he clarified and stated that no one wants them because for the same money you can get machines with a lot more features. He's not wrong. He mentioned that he's sold a few Outlaws, but that's about it for Tesoro.

The times they are a changin'... screens, tones, multi-frequency, waterproof etc. Maybe Tesoro's glory days are behind them now?? I have a feeling that only a few die-hards will appreciate the new machine coming out. Most will be hoping for an E-trac type machine and will be disappointed to find the new machine is just a tweaked version of something we've already seen. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, because there is a tiny market for machines like that, but from a business perspective, it's not going to help them in the market.

Word on the street is that Fisher has something new coming out too, and there's buzz about dual frequencies. If Tesoro releases a same-old-same-old at the same time as we see a new F80, that's not going to be good for Tesoro!!
I don't agree that more features makes it a better detector, alot of us are more than happy with Tesoro's beep and dig models. It is nice to have choices and options but Tesoro can hang with anything in my opinion.

Ski, could not agree more:thumbup:

It's hard to tell a novice that he's better off with a machine with 1 tone and no screen for the same money as one with those features. They won't understand.
