You are the one who brought this into the public light saying that we had to know who was ruining our favorite detector company and the forum we choose to post in...so ante up! At least George/(John ?)did when we asked him to tell us what detector he ended up buying. Or are you afraid of making a libelous remark that you could be sued over? <img src="/metal/html/confused.gif" border=0 width=15 height=22 alt=":?">

.....contrary to their "best intentions", all the down-playing, ragging, reverse-hyping, and bad mouthing of other machines has just the affect you described.
When a machine comes along that everyone uses as a "standard" to compare all the other newcomers to, there must be a reason. If everyone is saying their machine is better than "brand X", first thing I'm going to do is go look at the X.

......at least not out here in the real world. You don't accuse someone of something, and then make the accused "prove otherwise". That's plain chicken-$#IT in my book.
If you have the goods on him, spill the beans. Right here on the forum would either prove you are able to back up what you say, or that you are just spreading BS to further that "non-existant" agenda. I think it's your last shot at saving your credibility.

I was in the mood to buy a new detector even though I didn't really need another. I went to the TD Shadow forum and it "Was On" over there with talk of the new detectors. You have probably read it all and know what was and "Still Is" being said over there. When I went and saw the dealer I looked at all machines and wound up with brand X. The rest is history. Back to hunting and leaving all this behind for those who like to quivell & Rage all the time. It must be pretty miserable being them!
 
Maybe I will be proven to be someone rich and famous, rather than the 52 year old George that my parents told me I was. I think I will call Dad right now and demand that he tell me the truth about who I really am. I ought to have Dad come on the forum and post who I am. My Dad's name is George as well. I have been reading all this palaver and have come to a firm conclusion - anyone who gives themself the title of "The Mayor" (and his buddy, "The Guvner")is a couple sandwiches short of a picnic. That is nothing more than 3rd grade nonsense. As far as I am concerned, posts from such people have no credibility and are designed only to stir up trouble.

I have been posting on various forums using AOL for many years using <span style="background-color:#ffff00;">ONE OF </span>my AOL accounts, but NOT my primary account.
When an AOL user does this it will show up as a proxy. So your post is meaningless. I don't post using yahoo.
<STRONG>Read Carefully:</STRONG> You started out recently as someone who knew something about metal detecting, and was willing to share your experiences with everyone. That was fine, but now you are stone drunk and should be banned from this site.

at your comments without knowing someone. I would think a Rev. would have to know someone before making bold statements? I have hunted with Ron and found him to be a straight up guy that tells it like it is. If you want to tell people your a Rev. with pride, I suggest you find out all the facts before making bold statements then people will give the Rev. credibility.
 
and you would still find a problem. I have been reading your post for awhile and have come to the conclusion that you like stirring up trouble. Down here we call guys like you petty pessimist. Now grow up, and let these forums be for what they are intended.

His bluff was called on his accusations, and when he couldn't argue the facts or provide his "evidence" (or lack thereof), he set in attacking me personally. You want to see the real trouble maker, take another look. Standing up to BS and hype, and defending oneself against lies is not "stirring up trouble". Just look at many of his statements on the face of things, and you will see nothing but line after line of nonsense and ignorance. He doesn't like that being brought out to the attention of others, so he goes into attack mode on anyone who doesn't agree with him or doesn't bow and worship the ALMIGHTY #####. The guy is a joke, the class clown, the little insignificant pest that is always looking for attention by being proud of his stupidity. It doesn't take a very intelligent person to figure that out.
 
.....but give it a rest already. Ronnie brought the garbage in here and scattered it. Don't blame others for not liking the smell. He has all but finished his crap on TD, even to the point I think TR is getting a can full. He went beyond the point of being a ridiculous pest a long time ago. Step back and take a better look at everything that has been said and done, and you might understand the situation a little better. How many contradictions has he made in his own statements over the past few weeks ?
Negativity, perhaps, but sometimes that is what it takes unfortunately for dealing with people like Ron.
