More question on the Vortex

Just playing around with my V9 when I have a little time and trying to get to know it before I have to use it which will be a while from the looks of it.
I just purchased the wireless headphones of Garrett with the Garrett pin pointer so I can hear everything though my headphones, I got the one that has the transmitter even though I dont think I will need it on the V9 as I understand the transmitter is built in being it is a Garrett. Now I got it paired up, but notice the volume is weak sounding with the volume control max and the volume on the V9 at max. I was hoping it would be as loud as the speaker was. Might be jut my hearing as I am hard of hearing. I wonder if Garrett make a adapter I can use reg wired headphone on it? I also notice on the probe I feel the vibration, but dont hear anything on the Headphone, maybe it is very high pitch as I am completely deaf in high tones. I been looking to see if the tones can be changed to lower the tones if this is the case. I do hear the beep to get into the setting on the probe, but wave a coin in front of the probe I just get a vibration and no audio, or none I can hear.
I am surprised that we dont see many post on this new Garrett as many were waiting for theirs to show up, maybe they too are learning it, but the field tester should be responding and let us know some of the things they have learned about this detector.

Just got to work with it a bit indoors and learn more about it as it is just too cold up here in ND to even go outside.

Rick. those are all great questions which I hope someone here can give factual answers to. Me personally, I would call garrett directly, voice your concerns and have them put you in touch with someone in tech/development... I did this many times dealing with whites detectors. ( they were very accommodating when I called ). Having someone in the know sure speeds thing along.
Keep us informed please.

I had a difficult time pairing my pin-pointer with my AT Pro. Call Garrett and they should walk you through the procedure. I believe the volume can be adjusted on the headsets. Garrett Vortex metal detector has a volume control for both the built-in speaker and headphones. The volume control has eight levels.

When I paired the headphones I had the probe there too and feel the probe got paired too at the same time. The reason I think is when switching the option for the probe I hear the beeps in the headphones. I have the volume of the headphone max on the control on the headphone and on the detector too at max, but feel it is too high pitch or too weak of a signal from the probe as I dont hear anything but feel the vibration of the probe.
I might have to add the transmitter that came with the probe/ headphones that came with the kit and see if it will make any difference, or find a adapter to try a wired set of headphones and see if there is a difference or not as I have a couple of different headphones that are made for the extra volume and see if that help. Just thought someone should know as there should be someone that has a Vortex that will jump in.

Thanks for your info.
