Manticore owners: Do i need 1?

KSDfisher77, So its been 4 months now. Your thoughts ? Is it worth the upgrade from the 900 ? Was wondering.
Ok I got about 20-30hours on my manticore & love it. It really is a good machine & the unmasking abilities are awesome. Killer depth.

Now for the Nox900 I only got about 4 hours on it. I kinda gave up on it, because I have no way to update it. It was a bit jumpy/effy on the vdi #'s, so I just dug every good sounding target with it.

Owning both machines, if the money is there, buy the manticore.

Thanks for the reply. I got a 900 when they came out in Dec.of 22. Used it for about a year. Around 75 hunts. My main gripe was I didn't seem to be hitting any deep targets. Other 900 owners report no problems with deep targets. I bought an 800 when they came out in 2018 so I'm no stranger to the Equinox. With the 6 in. coil on the 800 I had no problems with 7-8 in. coins. I can remember a couple old silver dimes as deep as 10+ inches. I bought a Legend in Sept. of 23 and with the 6x9 coil on it, no problem hitting 7-8 inch clad, and had a few surprisingly deeper coins. I had the 900 listed for sale but when I heard about the update I decided to give it another try. Not very impressed, still very unstable IMO. It does a great job of unmasking and clobbers the coins but TID is all over the place and also a lot of falsing and still nothing deep.. For those that wonder I usually run sensitivity around 22 and where I hunt EMI is rarely a problem. Also the latest update on the Legend 1.17 , doesn't seem to hit as deep as it did with 1.15. Keep in mind I hunt the same areas, with the same settings. And have gone over them with the 900 and Legend before and after updates.
Anyway thanks for your input, I may give the Manticore a try. I wonder if its eligible for the veterans discount while on sale.

Mark-----Unfortunately the veterans discount cannot be used on this current end of sale by Minelab.

Stop being reasonable. We only live once and need to keep the $ in circulation. 😁 That’s my excuse.
It is very possible that the $ will vanish and be replaced by crypto, due to over printing the US currency, (Thank you Biden)
The US dollar keeps shrinking and continues in a downward decline as the US government keeps printing money they do not have.
"January 8, 1835, president Andrew Jackson paid off the entire national debt"
Elon Must has now said we must decommission the Federal reserve, as nowhere in the US constitution was it ever created or mentioned.

I wonder how many Crypto's we can find with a detector.

He better be careful. Every president who has tried or supported that has been shot. Most young people don't realize the Fed is not a branch of the government but is a private bank that lends the U.S. money and the taxpayers have to foot the bill. Which makes no sense since we have our own treasury and could print our own currency and spare the taxpayers the financial burden of paying the interest on the loans the government keeps making. Everytime there is a financial crisis the government just borrows more money. The scam was brought here from Europe in I think the late 1700s by the Rothchilds. They were already doing the same over there. President Kennedy tried that and you see what happened. I still have a red ink 5 dollar bill from 1963. If you look on the top of the bill it will not say Federal Reserve Note but instead says U.S. Treasury Note. I hope Musk can pull it off. Even still my great grandchildren will still be paying for the 2008 bailout. Sorry I know this is not the right place to post this, just went off on a rant.

Agree, it will be hard for him to do, yet the printing of money we do not have needs to slow down.
I also have a few of those treasury notes and silver certificates.

Well I found a smoking deal on the Manticore full package. Lol I bit.

Can somebody tell me what the newest software version is? Or if there is a new update version?

Thanks. View attachment 59077

My M came with the M11 and the M8. I’m going to sell the 8 and get a M9. It is a compromise between the 8 & 11. The 11 was shown to be deeper and the M8 will be better in trashy areas and small spots but I like to put one coil on and never change it
