Iron Trash and Hot Rocks - Help!

Sir, if you took my post to be knocking my beloved Explorer or those wonderful people at Mine Lab that invented her, then I am truly sorry for creating your misunderstanding and hereby am correcting it. My Explorers are my most favorite non living things on this planet and the people that created them for me are always going to have a tender spot in my heart for bringing me so much enjoyment and success. I am guessing zipzip (your name), means that you put zip effort into learning your Mine Labs and you found zip with them because of that:rofl: or the machines were to heavy and slow for your liking which is fine in either case. But no, I am not picking on Mine Lab, I am just suggesting that maybe they need a more open line of communication with their customers in regards to them learning new info that may help me and these other you called "lied" to Explorer owners find another pile of old silver coins again this year. My finds last year are worth more than both my SE's and all 15 coils to boot with 15 brand new lower shafts attached, including 2 SR X-1 probes, 3 sets of head phones, and a partridge and a pear tree. First is old places researched and found by your effort......second is a quality, you called "rip off" machine,........ third is you taking the time and effort to learn that machine better than the guy who hunted that spot before you and then you too can have a pile of something other than bitterness. I had my machine less than 5 months when I pulled my 25th seated silver and 100th Indian, that whole "learning curve" thing; for some must be a "lazy curve" because I think it's honestly a lack of effort in most cases. If it's not for you great, but why are you here waiting for a negative post to jump in with. You don't own a Mine Lab any more but you peruse the Mine Lab Explorer forum web site??????????????????????????????????????????????? For what purpose, maybe to drool over the posted awesome everyday finds with those you called "rip off" machines, huh??:yikes:

I read Bruce Candy's white paper and all though it explained a great deal of some of the gray areas it would be great if it could have been written with more content about how to use the Explorer's more effectively. I understand why they put out the BASIC only manual for the newbie but I am ready for more than that as are most experienced users. And I am not talking about another Andy Sabich book either.

Then in the same spots, i am going to turn on and off the machine and run the whole test again in the reverse order, over iron, over clean ground and then the air. I am anxious to see the results.

Hold up to waist level, BEEP lower to the ground, BEEP. done. The X terra 70, ground to air, ground to air, done. The Explorer should balance in a similar way I would think.
