Iffy target yesterday

Well-known member
While searching in an area where I found 5 silver dimes in about 20 minutes a few years ago, I got an iffy signal that sounded like something decent from one angle, but very crappy from another angle, I dug where I thought the target was giving the best signal and found this Mercury dime.. I went back over the area and found this piece of aluminum just a few inches away.
That stuff can play havoc just as bad as iron in my opinion.
I have been over this area many times since I found those other coins, yet never hit it from the right angle apparently.
Thanks for looking.

Exactly true. Many of my sites are down to only iffy signal targets. You learn to go slow & investigate each all the way around & dig the ones that have that little bit of extra sound to them. You get a nice surprise often enough to keep going.

Congrats Felix! I have pulled a few signals that didn't sound too good myself. Sometimes it was junk. A couple of other times there would be a silver dime next to a nail. You just never know!

Beautiful merc with very little wear!
