If you only read one of my posts a year, please read this one.

There was a piece of a wrench too which I lost someplace. I am a Yankee fan but I still like the Mets pin because I dug it up. That is about the millionth sketchers girl fob I've found now. I hope to return to that site sometime over the weekend. Plenty more to find, I'm sure.

Chris

I'll thank the US Mint. You will never remember it but I found a ring that read "Madre" last year. 14k gold. I scrapped it but would have been just as happy to send it back home as long as it's rightful owner returned with it.

Looks like this evenings party is next door to me because right now my "Hispanic friends" are driving off, coming back with 4 or 5 people, driving off, coming back with 4 or 5 people. I never disliked any Hispanic until these SOBs moved in. This summer is going to be brutal. Now my parade has officially been rained on.

Chris

Just FYI. When my "Hispanic friends" moved in I bought them over cold drinks while they were moving to welcome them to the street. I do this whenever I get a new neighbor and in the past 3-4 years it has not payed off. The real problem is the owner of their building. He just doesn't care and he will rent to anybody.

Everbody dreams of finding a gold coin ,yours finally came true. Gongratulation on this unique find.

WOW!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!!!! Too bad there isn't a banner on the site because it would be up on it!!!

congrats.I find one of those on an average of every ten years.I now looking for my fifth one,and i have never found my first silver dollar.when you look in that hole and see the gold it kinda puts you in a good state of shock.

It was a ball of mud. I rubbed off some of the mud and saw the bezel so I walked over to my cooler to get some water to rinse it off. Lucky me. I have been metal detecting about 5 years but only got really hooked last spring. I mean really hooked too. So I suppose I have 15-18 years to find my next one and I'll still be at your pace. I bet my first silver dollar will be some show and tell lost in the bark chips common date Peace Dollar. You'll still hear me screaming if you're in the US, just like I did this evening. This was a great find. Deep gold makes me feel like a real treasure hunter instead of the clad king.

Extraordinary find my dear bud. You have just realized every beeper swingers ultimate dream. I hope you execiuted the appropriate dance that accompanies a find such as this. :) I would literally wet my britches if I dug one of those up. I've recovered silver dollars but nothing matches the mind boggling awe of gold.

I would send a pic to Garrett and get your puss in their catalogs, brochures, and the "Searcher." Which machine did you find it with? I'm happy for you feller. Something to remember for a very long time.

Bill

Too bad you don't have "nuisance laws" there. Then you could get them evicted. We don't mess with them here. If they cause problems they get booted. We have three Mexican families on our block and they are quiet as a mouse. One wasn't at one time until eight cops paid them a visit one night and shut their madhouse down. One thing I like about Oregon, people here have some rights. You should check and see if there are any laws on the books pertaining to your problem.

Would make a great belt buckle. I have a silver dollar belt buckle but don't wear it much for fear of losing it and the 1899 Morgan inside it.

Bill

Yeah he could get it in W&ET's Gold & Silver issue no doubt. Might even get a cover shot and make an extra hubdred bucks.

We do have a noise ordinance. I got lucky last night and they were pretty decent for a change. I spoke with the village justice and since the noise ordinance went into effect in 2005 there has not been one case brought before him. I have made two noise complaints on these folks and they may have finally gotten the message.

Chris

You have posted pics of that great buckle a few times. Maybe I'll find one like it later today!

Chris

Congrats on the once in a lifetime find! That is gonna be hard to beat for sure. Very good hunting, Beale.

That's a well deserved find! That would be one of the best detector finds that a guy can make.
I'm very happy for you and appreciate the Photo of such a great find.
Mick Evans.
