How do you stop digging foil

My motto is not to decide what it is, I rather decide am I digging that or not. That way I am never right or wrong. just go away after a hunt with some goodies and some crap.
I don't really have any hard n fast rules when out on a coin hunt, just go with the flow of the site, and I may change strategy several times during the session.

All treasure hunters should dig foil. Some times gold comes out that you thought was foil... I love digging the junk out.
