Here's The Specs On The New ACE 350 Relic Machine To Be Released In September

My first post must have been deleted, so I won't meantion any names..
Someone else put out a 10" x 14" DD coil.
If you had this on your machine wouldn't it be the same??

Thanks John

Happy Hunting
Bruce

:usaflag:It might get you the same results, but the new coil, I believe, is much lighter than the 10 X 14. That is why I'm hoping that they market the new DD by itself so I can slap it onto my 250.

Hey, I use that 10"x14" Excellerator(that's made for the Ace) on my old GTAx1250 and it works great. Much, much lighter than that 10"x14" DD that Garret makes. Although the Garrett's are built like tanks and made to last forever. GTAx is 7 kHz and Ace is 6.5 kHz, but that coil works great on my GTAx 1250. In fact, ya know, those Crossfire 2 coils work great on the Ace, I've tried them.

This new Ace 350 looks cool, but what I wanna know is, are they gonna make a search coil like that 8.5"x11"DD for my other machines(GTI, etc.)? That'd be cool.:biggrin:Happy Hunting!:)

I'm curious as to how you know it works on the 250? I thought the the frequency is too far apart to work effectively. I assume that you've either used it or you could have ask Garrett's.
Thanks.
Mick Evans.

If it works for both units, the frequency tuning tolerance isn't as precise on this machine. Makes me think you may be able to mod a 250 with
a switch to toggle between the Ace 250 and 350 frequencies? Good for organized treasure hunts or when hunting next to another Ace....just
thinking out loud.

Hmm buy a infinium now or save that money for whats coming now that I know there is....................

Dave i run this set up on the 250. little awkward at first. then you get used to it . then it's really weird going back to the std coil. but you find stuff the std coil plain misses. the 10x14 exelerator coil that is

The Ace 350 is pretty cool looking but, I personally would like to see a NEW multi-frequency (3 min. would be nice) detector to replace the dated GTI 2500 and make it their flagship! Other companies out there (I won't name them) are making great strides in technology & engineering to gain (more) detection depth, target separation, target ID, % of probability of target by using faster processors and light weight materials.

Kinda makes you look over the fence, Eh?

Yes...definately. That other company, the one that rhymes with crime lab, has some nice units. I have considered many times to have a variety of models on hand.

I think Charlie boy probably has all that beat and is waiting for the opportune time to unload it on his unsuspecting competition. :)

With references to other brands - I don't want to spend my time programming. With the Garrett's it's all quick and easy. I hope that with whatever they bring out they keep it quick and easy.

Still, this interests me. At this price it will be hard to pass. I wonder how much the small coil is. It could be a good detector, i'd prefer a slightly higer frequency for relics but i'm still interested.

Was kind of hoping for an Ace 250 with GB. I do like that coil though! It has to be more stable on tough ground. Maybe wet salt sand?
