NO! Deus is king of tones and info given by them on targets. Size ,conductivity , etc. I have bought another machine and have been testing it. Its impressive but it has not made our beloved Deus obsolete ... I figured some were wondering if I was giving up my Deus and the answer to that is no too...

Thanks Calabash !
In a time that it seems almost everything is designed and assembled with built in obsolescence, that’s a breath of fresh air..... !!!

I saw your video great tests and impressive.

I have had my Deus for 8 months now. Purchased it used from a friend and it was only 4 months old and had only been used once. I am a park hunter and mainly get clad. I see no use for purchasing the other new detector. I have put enough hours in with the Deus to be able to tell what is under the coil and how deep it is before I dig(well, most of the time) or even look at the display on the remote control. The tones on the Deus will tell you a LOT about the target and the other new detector does not seem(at least what I hear) to come close to the Deus in the tones. And having the coil, remote control, headphones and pinpointer ALL wireless is something I love! No, I am staying with the Deus, and are still learning it as well, but man, the Deus is the finest detector I have ever had the pleasure of using. And I have used a lot of detectors.

I have both and I relic hunt also it will compete.I smashed out a bunch of targets today after I crushed the spot with my xp.Not saying the xp wouldn't have hit them but it takes time to learn a new machines tones give it a few hours to grow on you.I think you might be sup surprised

I'm not bashing at all its impressive from test I have done but the modulation is the weak point on it for me. A flattened can on top of the ground sounds the same as a silver dime on top of the ground. I get more info from the deus tones as fas size and shape go but I will spend some time with it.

Sorta depends on what you are talking about.

Deus and LF coils being used, better watch that other detector.
Just saying.

Higher mineral, better watch that other detector.

Depth on silver dime in medium to higher mineralized, better watch that other detector.
I'D of targets in trash and iron, better watch that other detector.

I have had over 200 different metal detector models...come and go...in the past 40+ years of my hunting and the Deus has stayed around with me the longest. I do have my favorites...but the Deus has pleased me the most. Sooooo...the Deus stays in my arsenal...for now.

Glad to hear your not giving up the Deus,Im new to the Deus, have used the At Pro(my 12 year old sons now, he loves it, coming from the Ace 400) and Gold for the past 6 years. I've watched all your videos at least 3 time's, great work. I use your relic program, pitch program, sifter, and sifter hot, all on full tones, which I like.. Hope to see more Deus videos from you in the future!
I've learned a lot from your videos and Gary's skill school videos.. Thanks man!

Both are great tools. These 2 machines are top dogs for what I do ....

CD, you've made my life harder. I have some buddies who i take mding but really can't afford their own MD. So i've been considering both a scaled down deus or the eq. You're recent videos have proved how competitive the eq is. I'm both a long time ctx user and 3 year deus user. Use the deus more now. Relic hunting is my first love but like the majority of mders do a bit more coin and ring hunting due to proximity to my home so i will probably wait and get more feedback to the eq's efficiency in MT. I suspect the modulation issues with it are in part due to ML's insistence on using the 11 inch as its stock coil. Its the same with the ctx and etrac. Most folks end up having to buy the shooter and it aint cheap. Really love the 8 inch on the deus cuz you can size so much easier from cans to caps to coins. HH

bought and sold an 800 no audio modulation, clipped tones, minelab tones don't work will with the new detector for what I use my Deus for the 800 falls way behind basically no audio tells like the Deus, minelab have to go back to the drawing board as the 800 is a flop from my experience with it. Deus still has the best wireless on top of all that..

So etrac/Deus combo still doing the biz for me..

How many hours did you use it before you sent it down the road? I know some detectors I just don't click with. The Deus and Nox best made for relics imo..
