A very fun morning. Local park. Tons of people most who were very interested in what I was doing. I spent quite a bit of time demonstrating. The park manager came over to see if I was ruining his grass. He had watched me recover about a dozen coins and came over to say how impressed he was with my technique. He told me he tossed a guy out last year who was using a shovel and digging huge holes. It's a fairly new park. I don't know what that guy was expecting to dig there. I found a NYC bridge token which is my favorite find of the day. I don't know if they still use them but it is worth a few bucks if it's still good. It met with a mower and has a very odd shiny stripe on both sides. I wonder if it was made like that. Anybody know? Got silver ring number 9 for the year. Averaging a silver ring every other hunt which is pretty good in my book. The ring made me think of that new friend I bring up from time to time. It has absolutely no connection to her. I reckon I just felt like thinking about her which is AOK with me. Haven't found a wheat in ages. Silver coin either. Gotta hit an old site soon.
Last year on April 30th I had found just under 3000 coins. This year just over 1700. Am I losing my enthusiasm?
I have a short hunt planned for tomorrow morning before the weather gets hot. Supposed to be 90. Two days ago it was in the 30s. Go figure. Thanks for looking!
