Except for a pulse use all 3 types SF(Simplex), single multi freq(Deus) and SMF(3030). SMF advantages 1. Better in mineralized soil and salt water beachs 2.better at IDing objects really deep(but only with the FBS machines) which have been DCed or very expensive. 3. Are better for those who want a turn on and go machine since they need less "tweeking" for different sites which may or may not be an advantage. I'm not a buy everything that comes out guy but IMO the Deus and a good SMF machine would be a great combo. If its SMF would love to see it compared with the Deus and the new SMF Nocta which is soon coming out, especially in really heavy trash areas where a lot of folks have found the EQ to have been disappointing.
