faults of the x-70....

Just corresponded with "the man" yesterday, Jack, and he's not bought a T2 yet; maybe he will, maybe not :nono:

And knowing him like I do, he'll do just fine whatever his choice

I believe more like 2. Unsure why the number 6 was choosen as that gives an impression there were 6 issues. I understand they were "improvements" on sheilding and bottle caps help and more like additions not errors. I believe the first T-2 was the white boxes that went to Cabellas. That can be called 4R. The 5R's was the first ones replaced by the new 6. :ukflag:
cheers,
Liam P

Hi Liam I wondered about the use of R6 also. It could be they are counting the revisions made during the prototype stage.

My friend who lives within two miles of me purchased a t2, in December after seeing the ad "we are the champions" he had heard that "fishers" made good detectors, and we have both been detecting for over 10 years and were looking at new detectors...and I had a tesoro vaquero and wanted a id machine, he had a whites mxt. he sold his mxt to get the t2, and to be honest we have both tried to get that thing to work in my test garden around the foil and pulltabs. needless to say he has put it down and is using another friend's xlt. We had both changed our swing speeds, turned the sens down, worked with the gb but to no avail. I can honestly say my new x70 (only after 2 weeks) is starting to look really good to him... second day found a 1913 liberty quarter (6 in.) at a site that was supposedly worked out. Trying to get him on this forum, but he's a pottymouth when it comes to the torpor2 :poke:

i have a t-2 and love it, no problems with interference, great in the trash, and i also like the xt-70 that i have tryed that my buddy uses, actually talked him into it.i like the t-2 to better, but want a xt-70 along with a Garrett infinium, tools for the trade

I have the X 70 and really like it, I have a T2 also that I take with me along with the X70 to the field:detecting:

Oh wait..thats what we want..sorry disregard..LOL..Just kidding a little. Great machine, very few faults if any....

Minelab is now selling a shorter tube for shorter people and kids. Check with your dealer.

I have owned a X-70 before, and i don't seem to have any complains with it...
For coin hunting, it has done a good job...just use it for the right purpose and it works fine...

God Bless
