Deus getting scared?

I believe the FORS does pretty good on small gold. But why would you care. You've already stated you don't dig all, in fact you dig quality over quantity. With that said I'm confused??????????? It seems the CORE unit does well with TID at depth. Tone wise though, no adjustable tone break and no more than 3 tones.

I think the nautilus 2b will blow the socks off Makro, fors blisstool, etc and the rest of those foreign detectors. prob will be flooding the forums shortly with these detectors.

It will be great to see what happens and nothing wrong with this happening..The dues did and still is doing really well and a new update is coming.

The people at XP are always looking to improve the deus. They have been very committed to giving the customers what they want
So far. It I hope the folks at Nokta have developed equipment that can compete with the best manufacturers. It keeps making the technology better for all of us. With that being said is XP scared? I doubt it. They know they just have to keep improving. I could see Minelab feeling more of a pinch. They haven't introduced any updates to the CTX. If they do eventually release an update how much will they charge for it?

I am very intrigued by the new Nokta machines. From what in have saw and read these machines seem to be very impressive.

the turks and bulgarians can undercut them on price so see what happens

I don't know, I've had two foreign detector manufacturers stab me in the back now so I'm getting a little leery of the foreign stuff.

XP did the $300 drop and Minelab did the free 17" which is basically $300 drop with no comphensation offers. Its like, Oh so you paid $300 more than your detector is worth now?, sucks to be you. I can see a $50-$80 or maybe even $100 price drop not being a stab in the back, but $300 is a substantial amount. There are a lot of good detectors out there so I let my purchasing do the talking. I don't own either any more.

THANK GOD FOR CHANGES WHILE THE OLDER COMPAINES ARE DRAGGING THEIR FEET WONDERING WHAT DIRECTION TO GO (AND THAT WOULD BE UP OR DOWN) THE NEW KIEDS IN TOWN LISTEN TO US AND SEEM TO WANT TO START OUT RIGHT AND HAVE US USE THEIR EQUIPMENT. THAT IS JUST HOW YOU WIN NEW CUSTOMERS OR LOSE THEM AND THE SOMEONE IN THE US NEEDS TO START THINKING THE RIGHT WAY.

The deus has been out for awhile now and I don't see the price drop as a problem it happens all the time. If you really enjoy your machine and it has paid for itself and you understand it then I would not be too upset. If I just bought one and the dealer didn't tell me about the price drop or made the difference up in other offers then I would be upset.

Exactly Steve and no one seems to complain about gasoline dropping.
This entire thread is nonsense over pricing when it's nothing more than international currency matters and nothing to do with competition or performance except where the dollar is concerned.
Minelab's coil offer came at a time when their currency was actually gaining against our dollar and they made the offer to rally sales for an already overpriced detector and overpriced products in general.

Having a price drop is great. What $ucks is buying a new detector for a lot of money and 6 months later you sell it and only get half the money you paid for it. GS

You are complaining about price decreases

Um... yeah! You're only thinking of yourself. What if you went out and bought a new car and paid $23,000 and then the next day the prices was dropped to $15,000? I see that as poor customer relation practice. Sure price drop is good for the person who has yet to buy one, but the person who did just took it in the hind-end without any warning or caring of the people who sold the car. It's not right and I feel the manufacturer should have offered those who just got Marjory screwed some compensation. XP should have dropped the prices on accessories like say coils for those who had purchased them prior to the price drop for example.

Personally I wouldn't have been affected anyway as I bought mine used for cheap and wouldn't expect compensation. I thinking of the poor saps who got the shaft who just shelled out hard earned money only to have it devalued by a good degree with no warning or kiss my grits. Poor customer relations. I don't do business with that type.

The deus has been out for awhile now and I don't see the price drop as a problem it happens all the time.

It does? Been detecting for 40 years and can't remember it ever happening before? Can you please point me to one that has dropped their price so much at once?

Thanks

From a percentage standpoint looks like Nokta dropped theirs on FORS CoRe units. I hadn't done the exact math but it very close to XP price drop. I guess you'd been happier if they would have raised them, XP that is. And just think they never even charged you for the updates. You seem to be complaining about something you have no control of. You either like Deus or not. Think about what White's did a few years back. They charged folks for an upgrade V3) that was necessary because of their poor testing and or engineering. So lets hear it about White's.

That is a good point no charge for updates and they have been really helpful on the deus and more coming

OK we're not talking peanuts. I just felt $300 was way too much and I am entitled to express my opinion by my wallet which is what I chose to do. If you're happy then what's the problem because I'm not? It's not like Deus is the only good detector out there. Yes I like the Deus, but not enough to feel it is OK to make the loyal user eat $300.

For what it's worth I bought my Deus from a dealer on this forum last year and I paid less than the new price with the $300 reduction. I can't help but be amused by someone who complains about a price reduction. Wow, you missed the deal. That's life, timing. Win some, lose some. It's not a bad business practice for a company to have a sale....geeez. Sour grapes.

Back on topic. How refreshing it is to hear directly (almost daily) from a company and actually have some input on a new machine. I'm buying a CoRe or Racer. My money is ready, I want to hear more about the Racer when it hits. The CoRe with the small coil is what interests me, Deus doesn't have a small coil. I always keep several detectors and I'm looking forward to a Nokta or Makro.

yes in the meantime the guys who paid 300$ more for their detectors are shafted, now they can not sell them used due to this price drop. The problem has already started just ask the guys who paid 300$ more. Will they be refunded 300$??????????

Like it is in the stock market, you have to diversify. Yes the MSRP on my Deus dropped but my Excal II's went up so I held the line. You just need to buy more detectors then you would not be hurt when some cruel capitalist drops his price to pick your pocket!

A lot of XP Deus talk on the Nokta forum, interesting.

. Remember the good deed XP did lately extending warranties on Deus, and always free updates. For now still my favorite detector. I won't be selling and when I do I'll get a little less for it, so what, it's been a lot of fun.

Ok if it makes anyone feel better.....Dish won't give me a Hopper 'cause I'm not a new customer. 2 months after I bought my Chevy Cruze I missed the $500 customer loyalty discount. And for cryin' out load I just put carpet in my house from Home Depot and now they're advertising free installation! Over a $1,000 right there alone, I could go on forever! It's life!
