Well, took the DeLeon out to an old ghost town sight for about three hours in a light drizzle and close to freezing temps. The DeLeon literally feels like a whole different machine. Rusty at Tesoro advised the DeLeon was pretty much spot on and they only made some minor adjustments. They also calibrated the DeLeon to the 5.75 coil for optimum performance. Don't know what "minor" adjustments they made, but the DeLeon ran smooth, quiet, and deep! I even ran it under power lines and the DeLeon never made a peep. I ran high sensitivity and sometimes in the Max Boost area. I'm very happy with the performance now and I'm already getting to know the language a bit. I found six very small bottle cap type items about the size of a dime. Not sure what they are, but they read 95 and I was picking them up from 3 to 8 inches and one at a depth of my entire Lesche tool, probably 12 inches or so! I also found several brass rounds from shotgun shells up to eight inches or so, but those things sound off like a sonic boom, so no telling how deep it would go on one of those. They also read 95 for the most part.
All in all, I'm very happy. The return to Tesoro was a little disappointing, but having the experts at Tesoro checking it out and calibrating to the 5.75 has given me new found confidence in the DeLeon and I see a long and productive relationship!!!
On another note, after swinging the DeLeon for three hours, I have zero shoulder issues!!! If I would have been swinging my MXT, I would have taken half a bottle of Advil by now and wouldn't get a minute of sleep tonight! Thanks to Tesoro for making quality, lightweight detectors!!!!
