CTX 3030 featured on Curse of Oak Island

Wow ,very interesting...

Whats up with the #19 on his hit? I could,t read the second # He said he thinks it is a good hit? I don't like the looks of that.

Not yesterday so I guess is that because of Super Bowl. This Sunday Feb 9th might be final and I think they don't find anything. They find something from swamp area and maybe special stone with writing on it? ? Maybe second season for keep looking?

I was watching an episode last night that had recorded earlier in the day I think, they were in the swamp waving their CTX 3030 OVER the surface of the water and declaring "There's something down there" or words to that effect, then when their expert metal detectorist finally plunges the coil into the water, and I could hear the iron grunt being made, and they showed the screen briefly but the guy with the ctx made a comment when he showed the screen on his detector to the two brothers, something to the effect that it's hitting right where gold and silver would be on the detector.

This is not a quote and I don't remember the exact words but as I watched this, I felt it was very misleading and most likely something the producers wanted to be said so that it added to the suspense and mystery of what the hidden treasure might be, by throwing out the words gold and silver, when in reality all it was, was the display screen displaying the target cursor indicating a target. The iron grunt was plainly heard, unless I'm wrong and don't have a clue......boy I'm opening the door wide open for anyone wanting to kick it in here! LOL.

Still, I enjoy the show, I just hope things move along and they get somewhere instead of dragging it on for us.

I saw what you are talking about, McClod. And, I agree. The target cursor was in the high Fe low Co portion of the screen. Sure didn't look like silver! Of course, they never showed the set up, so......????

Yeah, and I don't know why he said it's hitting in the area where "Silver and Gold" hit. Made no sense at all to me since silver and gold do not live in the same neighborhood of the detection screen on a CTX. Of course I've never had my coil over silver AND gold at the same time, maybe I should try that out sometime.

Just watched the last episode..Dang, even I am excited to learn what they found.... were those grey ghost headphones? They had the logo covered with tape so I wasn't certain..

Well did anyone see how the guy threw the Ctx up on the plywood after he was finished using it? Also he stated that silver was shown to be on the left hand side of the screen as we all know silver is displayed on the right hand side,
Also did you notice the Kellyco patches on there jackets?

I noticed how he tossed the CTX, the cursor on the left side of the screen and the "K" co. sheath on the make believe Lesche digger. Didn't see the patch on the jackets. However, in spite of all of this, I will watch the final episode next Sunday.......out of curiosity, even though I know it is going to be a big let down. I still think, for all the money they have invested, they could have run one of those giant augers down the hole and brought everything up!

I am not familiar with the "Metal Detecting Experts" that they brought in... I'll have to Google them.

Well that does it for me, I got'a have a CTX after seeing him wave it a foot over the water and get a hit on that treasure coin 3 foot under water.. wow that makes it 4 foot deep. But its not coming from Kco, I'd get the misused one that tossed on the planks.

You may be able to do as good, but, you can't do any better than Bart at Big Boys Hobbies. Check him out when you are ready to get your machine. The prices don't vary much, but, the quality of the incentive items DO! Personally, I can't say enough good about Bart. I know there are other good dealers, but, Bart is the one I used and I have never had any regrets.

P.S. I haven't seen the Oak Island show yet, but, if someone had the CTX a foot above water and picked up a coin three feet deep...........well, let's just say I would have to see it!

These "Reality" shows are NOT reality. Even seeing on TV is not believable. :rage:

Waste my time last night! One Spanish coin and they discuss to go ahead. Sounds like next season....probably this late Fall.....?

I'm sure they were leaving the season with a cliff hanger, I really wish they would have made the show better. I been a diver since 85' and watch the diver work was more of a jaw dropper for me...lol

I watched a couple episodes and it was all,I could take. It is so staged, it just plain sucks.
Sorry.

Yeah I noticed Kellyco is advertising on there too, figures.

I saw an "anti-climactic" ending coming from the first show........I wish I had never bothered. Almost as bad as watching the "Diggers" duo, KG and Ringmaster, screaming insanely and running around like pinballs, bouncing off of trees, falling over walls and making stupid comments like, "This could be the nail that held the heel on Wyatt Earp's boot when he shot Tonto and started the battle of Little Big Horn!"

If there is a second season of Oak Island, I don't think I'll be watching. The videos on this forum are much better and more informative!
