CTX 3030 featured on Curse of Oak Island

I have been watching it as well. I wonder why they didn't use that little robot camera setup they had.
I'm not sure what they are looking for with the CTX. If there is anything there its 200 ft. down.

I noticed that! We will find out what they find next week! I heard and read about Oak island years ago made me wondered is how, who and why do that! 200 years try and still don't get treasure! One thing bother me is someone put treasure there then how that someone able to get it back?

All I can think of is that there may be another way in, who ever designed that place went to extreme lengths to make sure that whatever is in there doesn't wind up in the wrong hands.

That is make sense! Possible!

No one has ever said what treasures are there or if any treasure at all. It's has always been a guessing game,What,When,Who,Why
The hunt goes on, maybe some day the answer will be known?Just hope no more lives are lost.

No body know but about 50 years ago or so they drilling way down and got few piece of gold or gold coins but I cant remember. They said something down there. Would be interesting if they find something. I think none because if they did then we will find out the big news before on TV!

When I was in Houston, I saw the foundation pillars being drilled for a high rise building (One Houston Center) and they were using a huge auger that must have been 8 or 10 feet (maybe larger) in diameter to drill very deep holes for the steel reinforced concrete pilings. This auger would bring all the dirt, rock and whatever to the surface while drilling and it was hauled away in the process. It seems something like this could be used and not have to worry about the flooding. Just a thought. I'm sure it wouldn't be cheap to utilize an auger of that size, but, it would be worth it to save a life!

watching episode two and three online...I am curious what they will discover after that swamp in drained

They have been to the deepest parts of the ocean which is about 6-7 miles deep. If they can do that.....someone that is motivated enough to find out whats there.....will!

I agree James...All it takes is a lot of money and smart engineering to find out what is OR more likely isn't there.

I was watching the episode last night where the daughter/sister of two men that died years ago looking for the treasure. I don't know if I was just exhausted from dirt fishing all day, or the show is that boring, but I kept falling asleep during it. Maybe I'll watch it again when I've had some coffee?

Has the ep with the CTX showed yet? Or is it on this Sunday the 26th. I checked History Ch and that is the next new show. If so I can still get it on demand tv.

I Think they will be using the CTX after they drain most of the water out of the pond area. I may be wrong, Well they can leave 10 feet LOL

ha, true... well the preview showed him detecting the swampy area I believe? One of the brothers was saying that he's got something under the coil, of course we will have to wait for him to pull the hubcap out at the beginning ( no make that the end) of the next episode..

Dang it I missed it last night, but a week or two ago it was on, then we saw "previews" of the upcoming show, so maybe that's what I missed. I think I recorded it though. I read about this mysterious treasure years ago and was fascinated by it so when I saw it on tv it was a lead pipe cinch I was going to watch it. <snip>.

You can watch the first two episodes by going to the History Channel website and I believe they are on Youtube, as well. (For the powers that be: I hope this doesn't qualify for posting other links, since they aren't links. If so, I will be more than happy to remove the references)

Thank you Roland!!!

Well.... Just watched it but it was at the end and more to come next week.

Me personally, I think these detecting shows are not real and put a bad image on us detectorist. I have come to the door of quiet a few property owners who think I'm going to find a gold mine based off of these shows and tell me "No" because of the potential of stealing their gold mine. Of those few, there were a couple who wouldn't even make a deal with me. I know and probably most of the other people here know with absolute certainty, these shows are for entertainment purposes. I still get a kick out of watching them for that sole reason. Oh, and to add, I'm not sure if I've seen this show yet or not so I cannot judge this one unless I'm sure.

These shows do keep my dreams going. ;)

My feelings also. I still like watching Finding Bigfoot, Alaska Gold, etc. even though at the end its always too fuzzy or too deep or a storm comes up, so you have to watch the next episode.

Yeah...like hundreds of other people haven't detected that island before and with all the other junk people have left behind, forget it.

I know what's down there, It's all the updates that mine lab is working on. If you look closely I think I see a in line probe and a 8inch coil for the ctx.

Ah hahhahahahahahaha good one

I live just a little over an hour away from Oak Island and this past fall happened to meet a diver that went down the hole in this series. He was sworn to secrecy so he could revel nothing.
The first show aired here in Nova Scotia last night Sunday Jan 26. on the History Channel and it reveled about as much as the diver that I met. When we talked I mentioned that I was into metal detecting, and he said that he had a Tesoro Tiger Shark and I Laughed as I have a Tesoro Vaquero. Don't know if he uses the detector when he dives in the show so will have to wait till the end of the show to find out what he finds down in the flooded Money Pit .
I will have to stay away from this forum or people will have to say" spoiler alert "when talking about what has happened on the show.
The mystery of the elaborate earth works is what gets me as you do not build a sub-terrain structure for nothing.
As a boy I new a sea captain that took an American expedition to another island and they recovered $50000 in gold, this was back in the 1950's $35 per oz about 1.7 milion now, so there is treasure around here for sure.
