Cibola is all over the place

not sure blanket statements are how it all works unfortunately, there are so many variables in play to say this works and that doesn't work there.

a mono coil works better on wet salt sand than a DD so there is a wide spectrum from one end to the other to say this does that.

its more like a lollie you have to suck it to see what it tastes like.

There had to be a better analogy than that AJ....

...Well the concentric won't handle mineralization as well as the DD widescan because of its "viewing area".
The DD only "sees" the blade where the two D's intersect and from tip to back. The concentric "sees in a cone from the outside of the coil and inward in an upside down cone. Makes it great for pinpointing bit affected more by mineralization because it "sees" a larger volume of ground at any one time. ...

Understood. For a larger coil used in less trash, the 11x8 widescan would be the choice in my soil over the 9x8 concentric; I have both. We're talking a relatively small coil though, which sees less ground to start with.
So many folks seem to prefer the small concentrics to the small widescans on Tesoros, that I wanted to give one a workout on my H.O.T. machines and the older 5 pin machines (my Eldos). Tesoro apparantly thinks the concentrics work best on their 5 pin machines too (or sell best), as they don't even offer the widescan 5.75 in 5 pin.
I think that Tesoro user "Monte" has written that he prefers the 5.75" concentrics to the widescan, everywhere. Anyway, I'll have one of each to play with and post my thoughts after comparing them on the same Vaquero. ^_^

OK cool!!!
I'm thinking of picking up either a CORS smaller coil or the Tesoro elliptical 4 pin 10" which is a wide scan. Leaning toward the Tesoro coil because it's a Tesoro machine, but I haven't found anyone who has used it besides on the lobo because it's the stock coil for that machine. Bit many like the CORS/NEL coils. The edge also goes to the Tesoro elliptical because it's a solid coil and won't get hung up on twigs and stuff. I even found a site that carries them in the short cable version. All others I've seen only sell the 8' cable one and that's unnecessary length of cable for my uses.

No dealers in my country...

no dealers in my country either not that stock ones I need sense when is that an issue, come live here mate we have to use some ingenuity to get what we need :sleepy: if its easy its not always best

best coil on the market !!

Lol only issue is shipping would cost 50% of cost of coil and I'd have to wait a month. :-(

Buy American. The 11x8 RSD is a beast. Tesoro has it all, aint no foreign copies going to do something you cant with a Tesoro.

You need a big coil 11x8 RSDl and a small coil 5.75 Widescan. You're wasting your money buying them all! I put the 11x8 on and the 5.75 in my backpack with water, snacks, batteries, phone, and tp.

Cheers

Well if I'm buying Tesoro I'm buying the 10" elliptical. It's widescan and I like the similar shape on my relic.
