Hello Tesoro Comrades,
I will no longer view Tesoro as NOT being a deep recovery detector, Both my Golden U MAX and my friends Cibola each responded to a 9" inch buried wheat penny in his test bed operating with 3 o'clock sensitivity.
Then, We went to a school to hunt the ball field for gold jewelry, clad and deep older coins. My Golden U MAX managed to hit on 3 deep wheat pennies and a deep 1946 nickel along with 13 more nickels including many tiny bits of foil and low conductor trash which is common for gold jewelry hunting.
I believe the added on ground balance mod to my Golden U MAX is the main reason the unit is achieving this superb depth. Needless to say I'm impressed with the 4 tone Golden U MAX. Even at 3 o'clock sensitivity the Golden U MAX operated smooth enabling me to search for both deep old coins and gold jewelry.
The picture shows the Cibola to the left with the Golden U MAX in the center and my trusty two tone Teknetics Turbo to the right, I've been using my Teknetics Turbo for coin and gold jewelry hunting but now will change over to the Golden U MAX from this day forward.
Any others out there with the same positive results I'm getting with my unit using the Golden U MAX?
Thanks and Happy holidays,
Paul (Ca)
