As I continue to add overseas detectors.......

No worries mate, I'll not return on this forum

You should stay friend!

I spent like 10hrs checking out these detectors last night they look like they work and made for heavy iron for the most part, my question is how to they do in modern aluminium trash ??

Like any other detector, all depends upon how the operator sets his discrimination control.

To each his own.

No. Troy is unique if you look at all it's features!

hello there woodchip i'd looked at the pirate and wondered my self it reminded me of a golden mask but anyways how does it compare in depth compared to deeptech's?

A friend of mine owns a AKA Signum and a Sorex. He is doing amazingly well with them. They seem to have tremendous depth and ID. I would love to try one, but would like to order from a US distributor. It has been touchy at times dealing with the shipping. I believe he ordered from a Russian source.

Nope no issues buying the sorex or signum, the distributor is in Bulgaria MikronBG and you can get a sorex easily for about $650 USD. And parts are easy to get had parts mailed to me from the factory.

I dont think anyone in the US will start carrying them, i would love to sell them but I am not a dealer and have no experience with selling detectors that way.

Thanks for the info. I will probably order one or the other and see how I do with it. May your next target be a gold ring!

The Golden Mask 5 only discs out small iron but the spectrum screen ID's really well so you can easily see if a target falls into foil range etc i just love mine, sold my Racer2 as it was getting no depth in my soil which is med-high mineralised but the GM5 just slices through it, makes for a brill relic machine also.

Love mine also. I got three coils one being the Airplane Fighter coil to use in very mineralized soils.

My old friend Javelin. Hope your well. Right on par in my soil! I chose the two tone Pirate! They make a dual frequency also! My Golden mask 5 has this so the I chose the Pirate as a single 14kHz with two tones. The small coil is a seven inch powerhouse. I will only use the stock 11" coil on new sites. I only wish It had an Iron volume control. Gotta try the Smart Plus this fall.

I have used All the latest AKA models. They really our great detector's but as you say the downside is communication and ordering. I'm not aware of any USA distributor.

They are deep, and i dig a lot less trash with my Sorex, than with most of my other machines, its even accurate at depth, ive dug targets at 12 inches that rang up right as if they were at 2 just a little quieter on the audio. But as you guys keep saying would love to have a US Dealer. But not sure if thats really possible given that relations between the US and Russia are about the lowest they have been since the Cold War. :(

My Sorex, is about the only foreign machine ive owned and like, the other that I owned and used was a Fors Core, which was a great machine but not my style.
