What if any advantages have you found from all these detectors, say compared to a Vaquero, Shadow X5, Minelab Advantage, Fisher 1270....other beep and dig machines.

Is it just ergonomics or are you finding some to have better iron ID(not getting fooled as easily).

I always liked trying new machines but the more I tried the more I realized they are all quite similar aside from ergonomics(how they balance and feel in the hand) and slight variances like tone pitch which can help(like the tone pitch adjustment on a Tejon)..

I mostly dig everything non ferrous as well.

thats what happens when you drag your feet for as long as tesoro has. cant rely on past glory forever. things that tesoro could be doing is being done and on the market. whats has been tesoros answer? announcing a new detector but not actually coming out with it. a new (reinvented) coil, color change, and a drop out of social media. boy, thats the new American innovation at its finest. guess the son who is in charge has run off to his safe place so his feelings dont get hurt for his failures. what a joke. people are losing interest because tesoro has become a boring, do nothing new, company. everything from social media to the new machine, he has failed with flying colors. thats the reality of it.

Our companies are a sleep at the wheel. My new favorite beep and dig at the moment is the Pirate Black Devil 2 Pro. Paid a mere 300.00 new on eBay! It has super recovery speed, excellent depth of detection, 2 tone ID, manual and automatic GB, threshold! Well designed and lite ! Coils are great. The small six inch is a killer separating the goods from the iron! Remember I hunt colonial sites . I dig everything non ferrous.

I know the feeling. I've been detector for over 40 years and used all American made machines up until the late 90's. Now I only own two American made detector. My good old DFX as a last resort backup and a vintage Garrett Master Hunter ADS 4 that hangs on the wall. I only use it to show people what hunting with a TR used to be like. My two main machines are the XP Deus and the Minelab E-Trac.

I judge people by their actions, not by who they are Hombre. If I know them or not and expect the same for myself. That is what makes you better at what you do. Guess it's a dying breed of people who can take criticism for their mistakes and failures.

We do not know whats going on at tesoro or specifically the owners life and to take cheap shots at him because you cant control yourself is sad. It has nothing to do with a dying breed you think your part of.

I give you thanks for proving me right Neil. haha. I'm not politically correct. I call a thief a thief, an idiot an idiot. You think tesoro is still a innovative and viable company with their poor performance and actions these past years? No, we don't know what is going on there. Some of us can read the writing on the wall though. Crap or get off the pot I say and tesoro can't seem to do either of them. Tesoro don't need more butt kissers, they need a kick in the butt. Some just can't accept that i guess.

don't see why. tesoro is no longer a sponsor. what was the reason for the censorship even when they were? this is a forum for us to discuss the good as well as the bad, the likes and dislikes. thats what forums are for. those members and sponsors who have thin skin and can't take a bit of criticism don't have to be on it. the moderator said it took them what, two months to get back to him about renewing their sponsorship. if it takes that long for them to make a simple decision like that. how can anyone have faith in them to produce a new machine in a reasonable amount of time. truth is the truth and with tesoros actions over the past few years. they deserve every bit of criticism from us once loyal customers. this was the most popular, censored forum that i know of in their favor and they abandoned it. how some still think they are a great company is beyond some of us. actions speak louder than words. guess some just don't understand that...

I based my feeling on the banter above my post fine by me I say go for it I give as good as I get after all they are only metal detectors wave them around they make a noise and I can just listen to the noise or go investigate get down there dig a hole get the item out do my best to make it look like I havnt been there ( but to those watching on I just dug a hole full stop) ,

so when the thing (detector) gets it out for me like laser surgery then and only then will I be impressed anything other than that is stone age to go along with the stone age tech what ever brand it is !!

its all primitive and well its time for some improvements

Go somewhere else and let those of us that still enjoy them also enjoy a part of the forum without all of the negativity and negative opinions. They are still quality and capable detectors. I think I would like one of these detectors Think they would let me test one out ? I promise I would send it back in 30 days " NOT" no seriously these look and sound like they could be worth trying miht have to see about ordering one so like how much in US dollars are they

i did not say anything about their detectors. the company itself has become a boring, do nothing new, poor excuse for an American business. even overseas companies in the past few years have designed, built, tested, and they are out on the market with the very features that we wanted on this supposed cazador. they are getting great reviews also. while the few die hard tesoro fans that are left are waiting around for the next color change or coil to get all excited about. pretty darn obvious that tesoro is being left further behind than they already are each year. thats what i'm saying. dont have to be a genius to see that without daddy's coat tail to ride on, the son is incapable of moving the company forward and because of it. the tesoro company is becoming a disappointing joke.
