Ace 250 or GTP 1350???

AS great as the 250 is there isn't much comparison to the 2500 as far as performance. The 2500 is the Cadillac of Garrett detectors and is loaded with features, including ground tracking, Scan Track, imaging, and of course that all important "all metal" with Fast Track. Plus its depth exceeds the 250 by a wide margin.

What sets the 250 apart from many machines is its light weight, more features than other machines comparably priced, and its performance and depth equals that of many more expensive detectors.

Bill

That's what hundreds of others have discovered and why the 250 is the most sold detector out there. If they would ever equip it with all metal, ground tracking, scan track, and fast track, the other manufacturers might as well hang it up.

Bill

It does pretty fair in that type of ground. Course that nasty clay in your part of the world is something else.

Out of curiousity, what does your middle initial stand for as mine is the same and it seems strange to see Bill G. on the forum. :)

[quote Uncle Willy]Bill,
Did you read my last post to you yesterday before it vanished?

Yes I did, thank you.:) Things have a way of disappearing He He!!

Take Care and HH,:detecting:

Yeah the 1250/1350/1500, aside from imaging, profiling, and neither, are the identical same machines. The GTI coils have one transmitter and two receiving coils - one for the imaging alone.

Well Limpy I've got you by seven years but no arthritis. I'm in pretty good shape for an old fart but I've lived a wild life. Have you tried DMSO for your arthritis and can you get it there?

Bill

Yeah I count him as one of the gang, another member from the Land of Oz. We're getting pretty globalized here. :)

Bill

Strangely my birth name is Billy. My mother was fond of goats me thinks. It has caused a lot of confusion over the years as most want to call me William. When I tell them it's Bill, they reply, " But you mean William." Then the fun begins. Some of my hard headed school teachers would actually argue the point.

Hi uncle Willy,

Because I'm only a young fella:rofl: and haven't been around as long as you:rolleyes: I haven't heard of DMSO as per your comment "Have you tried DMSO for your arthritis and can you get it there?"

I presume it is a worthwhile product for easing arthritis and I would be very interested in learning a bit more about it, I haven't heard of it here is Aussie-land but maybe it sells under a different name???? Would you please post more info or send me a pm with any details if you would??? Even if it not available here in Oz I will sniff it out in your country to give it a try.

Many Thanks, Barry.

G'day Barry.
I spoke to Phil at the Goldmining Centre about the differences between the 1500 and 1350 a while back. Weight wise (including the2500) there isn't much difference, however, the sizing difference between the 2 makes the GTI's a better choice. The GTI's can sift out screw caps better, in that they will generally bounce between B and C in the sizing. Our modern coins (particularly $1 and $2 coins) will lock on to on size or the other. The 1350 can't do that.

Yup. It used to be labeled for humans until the drug companies started bitching about it eating into their profits and had the government change the labeling. Used to buy it in the drug stores here. I use it all the time. Another good one is Melaleuca if you can get it there. Bee sting therapy is the best as it restores everything to normal. People who had completely lost the use of their hands are back to normal after bee sting therapy. My wife has MS in the worst way and I used it on her for a long time.
