Taking care of me.....I am very happy with them

Not saying they are not good detectors they are one of the best at beach hunting for sure. Have you tried to get any repair work done. Was taking months to get a Excal fixed had a buddy who had his gone the whole summer.

Jason
Yes several times on excals & Explorer 2 the Explorer took 2 1/2weeks the 1st excal 800 took 2 weeks the second excal 1000 took 4weeks the first time and almost 2 months the second time but that was when they were in transition however all were repaired correctly and are still working fine. The golden rule for water machines if you hunt hard is HAVE AT LEAST ONE OTHER BACKUP

Just pointing out that 80 years ago was the Great Depression, and we wen't so prosperous. I would advise people to base their arguments on facts, and provide sources, at least a link to Wikipidia, which is pretty relible. Finally, nobody likes taxes, but if we are going to pay them, might as well get our money back by getting affordable healthcare and effective boarder control. I personally would like a simple flat tax rate of 12% across the board, so everyone pays the same not depending on their income. Same for business tax, flat rate, and state tax. At least we could then get rid of tax lawyers for the wealthy, who find loopholes and alows them to keep more money in their off shore bank accounts.

TERM LIMITS !!!........The politicians and the wealthy that control them have run this country into the ground for thier own benefit !!.....WAKE UP AMERICA !!.......Big business given incentives to move their companies OUT OF AMERICA ? ....Ring a Bell ? ....... Keep a politician in office for only 3 years and OUT , and they can't make too many sweet heart deals can they ? ...... This is all a plan to keep the rich in control of the workers !!....... It's working !!..... Pretty soon they'll have ALL our money , and they can move out of America and spend it in another country while China continues to control the rest of us when we become the United States of China !!..... ....It's coming .....Don't laugh !!.....Jim

just because a product is made from cheap parts does not mean it should necessarily be an inexpensive product. Engineers have to be paid well, workers have to be paid, all the bills and taxes have to be paid, the dealers have to make a living and this is not a huge hobby.

I own a service business and my actual cost of product when i do a regular job is maybe 3 bucks... however I have to pay an employee, I have to pay for trucks, gas, taxes, product and I have to make a living... the average cost to the customer is 85 bucks and my work usually takes me about 30 minutes. My customers are happy with, my prices, my work, and with me... and if it were not for my wife becoming a CPA and making more money than I do... we would just be getting by...at least I have job secutity, and so does my employee, who also has a family... I keep this business running mostly for him. He actually makes more money than I do, but he does a LOT more of the work than I do.

We are getting a good deal on every detector I know of, particularly on the better ones. If it weren't for the security side of the detector companies we would be lucky to even be getting new detectors, much less good ones...

So give me a break folks... a business has a lot of responsibilities and and has to not only be sure it's employees make a decent living.. the company has to turn a profit. Some people seem to think that the people who go out, take the risk with their money, and start a business should run it like a charity...

Prices are going up.. this is just the beginning. Pray that the dollar does not lose its status as the world reserve currency... if that happens the dollar will lose a LOT of its value... everyone needs to be buying and keeping some silver... pre-1964 quarters... they are well undervalued right now and may just save you if this house of cards comes down. In bad times silver is usually 1/16th the price of gold. Right now silver is around 1/50th the price of gold... and silver is more easily traded if need be.... just saying.

How does Toyota deal with all this and thrive without the taxpayers money yet GM and Chrysler can't seem to do it?

Yes I have to agree we got far away for how it's supposed to be. I live and vote in one state and work in another. I have to pay state income tax in the state where I work but don't get to vote there. Taxation without representation. I believe that is what started America's fight for independence. I can't set here and tell you all our problems are George W's fault. I just know where we were when he took office and where we were when he left. Part of that time his party also had conrtol of congress. That liberal supreme court everyone talks about, 7 of the 9 justices were appointed by the Republican party. Funny thing is nobody wants the blame Bush but they want to blame Obama. Don't get me wrong I voted for McCain but you can't have it both ways.

I do have a business, and make a modest profit, but I spread most of the profits back to the employees in terms of raises and health coverage.

All I did was state a fact my friend, so lighten up.

Who of you here can tell me why a term in Congress is two years? Oh this not a trivial question, in fact it has a great deal to do with what has gone wrong.

So that that mean that all the ones that you had in your inventory before the price increase you would have to send Minelab an additional $200 for each unit or would you just collect an extra $200 on each one?

I posted that last post thinking that it was going under the dealer that said that they have a signed contract with Minelab and have to sell at the new price.

The ones that you will find for $800 will be the HONEST dealers that had them in inventory before the price increase.

Also,I contacted Minelab and this is some of what they told me......It is company policy that we don
