    WS6 Notch feature

Yes, you can now set 3 notches on the WS6 puck, just like you can on the full sized remote. You can examine many features of the D2 at “metal detecting skill school” on YouTube. The presenter is Gary Blackwell, and he is the main “mouthpiece” for XP.

    Nails

JCR is right, we can all do this. As long as we HAVE the machine and aren’t watching videos to make a decision to purchase or not, it’s all within reach with similar materials. That way you can run the specific tests in your own environment with your settings, coil, EMI, trash items, etc.

    Ground balance & VDI/TID #'s

Typically a positive GB makes things more stable and the VDI is accurate. A very negative GB makes the VDI jumpier/not as stable. I haven't seen it CHANGE the actual VDI in either case, but I haven’t tested it specifically at length….just observations. Using different FREQUENCIES can change the...

    Ground balance & VDI/TID #'s

GB WILL affect VDI, whether it’s negative or positive. If GB is way off to the negative you’ll see unstable operation, off to the positive it’ll be very stable but you’ll lose depth(typically). A very negative GB is what usually causes erratic/inaccurate VDI. This has applied to the machines...

    Deus 2 question regarding frequencies.

Big Tim has this one “nut shelled” very well. Excellent, the way I understand how things work. To add…iron falses would be way easier to discern if it weren’t for the piles of nails some of us are attracted to. You can use pinpoint, and on iron it will almost invariably be a couple to several...

    Deus II Question

If this is the same Captain Kirk from the old Explorer days…you are smart enough to run the D2. Trust me.

First hunt with V1.1 and it gets the thumbs up from me.

1000% agreed, I took it out for the first time today in one of the worst places I’ve ever hunted and did really well. The audio wasn’t confusing or lying about things either, totally tame yet high performing in Sensi FT. I’m VERY pleased so far also!

First run on the beach with 1.1 update

You have a 1912 barber dime. That is a hilarious pic, my wife and daughter work for the post office so the bucket and gloves are very familiar to me…😂

    So much for new update

I thought so too and that’s how I’ve done it but then I’ve heard of some going through the original update page…but perhaps that’s not a thing with 1.0.

Do you guys have accounts with XP?

Disc at 6.8 on some programs…why so specific? Why not 7?

Very interesting! That would certainly be a good reason, I will do some testing on my own to see if I can confirm this. Thanks!

Everyone is talking about “Full tones”. How about the interpretation of the other audio options??

WHAAAATTT?? That’s terrible! Get out there as soon as humanly possible, there’s some other SOB out there sucking up your silver and gold!🙂 I do understand, I’m still going to this thing called a JOB…

Everyone is talking about “Full tones”. How about the interpretation of the other audio options??

After today I rolled everything back too Dan, I need more time in different programs and settings to actually learn the basics of the machine inside and out first. Even though I’ve had great success, I attribute that to the machine being that good with v.71 to begin with, it has been one wild...

Disc at 6.8 on some programs…why so specific? Why not 7?

It’s more of a curiosity for me than anything, but I also don’t want to lose performance in iron by raising the disc too far in certain programs. It’s really easy to blur the line between “overthinking” and “getting all of the performance”…

Disc at 6.8 on some programs…why so specific? Why not 7?

I never even considered that! Good thought!

Disc at 6.8 on some programs…why so specific? Why not 7?

Thanks DD, I had seen that, was just wondering why and what scenario needs such a fine adjustment.

Disc at 6.8 on some programs…why so specific? Why not 7?

Very much so Tony, we have to remember that these companies are making machines to accommodate ALL hunters, not just me in my park in Wisconsin. I forget that at times, especially when I’m not doing well! It’s just weird that the specificity of the adjustment would be like that. What would be...

Disc at 6.8 on some programs…why so specific? Why not 7?

I posted this question across the road yesterday, it has 47 views and no responses. It leads me to believe that it’s not widely known as to why it’s set there, and others want to know as well.

Everyone is talking about “Full tones”. How about the interpretation of the other audio options??

That is what has me questioning myself even more…it seems some have had issues and some have not. I didn’t want a “new machine” as it has been referred to, I wanted iron falsing to be addressed. Some have said v.71 full tones wasn’t good, personally I liked them and to me they sounded just fine...
