    SEF 10x12 coil..question..

    I have the white SEF 10x12 for my V3i. It's my first choice when I need a larger coil. Not too heavy, accurate pinpoint, good depth & coverage. I also have the black SEF 10x12 for my wife to use on the DFX. I tried it on the V3i and like Larry indicated it worked well however it didn't respond...

    V3i With a SunRay Probe ???

    I only use my DX-1 in the woods where there are a lot of leaves or debris so I won't put down my Pro-pointer & lose it. Just faster & more convenient to use the hand held Pro-pointer. If I had a TRX with a "lost" alarm I would use it in the woods too. (donations welcomed:biggrin:)

    V3I best coil for trashy areas

    I agree that the Shooter is a great choice in extreme trash. I've found that a faster Recovery Delay helps as well. I normally set mine at 45 to 35 in trashy sites with this coil - and swing very slowly.:thumbup:

    I measure the depth in the ground plus the distance the coil is above the ground to find the actual depth the coil is reaching.     2000 Sacajawea US golden dollar although not so golden now after spending who knows how long in some heavily fertilized ground. The cross is not silver....probably aluminum. I was using my V3i and SEF 10x12. Most of the coins were deep. One of the dimes was 8+".

    daddy, I was using the 6x10 Eclipse. The trash was terrible....a variety of bottle caps & tabs made it impossible to single out any consistant VDIs to notch out. So, I listened to it all & just picked out what I thought were the good targets. Frustrating...so I think the 4x6 is the ticket. Until...
