Whats the "best" detector if I'm looking for silver coins?

Not a big fan of cherry picking silver unless the really old stuff rather do gold, nickel or copper but having said that folks who have done this a long time know the etrac and 3030 are still best for identifying at depth. Have a buddy who easily Ided silver dollar at 18 inches. Keep in mind...

    xp Deus 2 vs ctx3030

I wish I could buy you and Nauti a beer. Last night i watched a long review of the Deus 2. At the end the reviewer noted the good features it possesses but stated that if you enjoy the machine you have now you might not want to change because some new owners may find it too complicated for...

    xp Deus 2 vs ctx3030

First the CTX and the whole XP lines are both great machines but they are two very different animals which IMO compliment each other better than any others. ALL of the XP lines are better than the CTX in iron and lighter and faster, but no machine id's better deeper than the CTX(well the etrac...

    Hindrance and help

Your 2nd point is really well taken. A few guys have the courage to put their remote in their pocket and just dig good tones. Sometimes pays off.

    First gold with Legend

Good going. Find a tiny gold chain and let us know. That's where even some of the best machines struggle.(make sure it the chain only no cross or anything).

Am i going to regret buying the Deus 2

I love my 3030 and most folks complain of its weight but I have haven't found it a big deal. What you will love more with XP is the speed.

    Hindrance and help

Hindrance: not sticking to a battleplan based on what I'm wanting to find. I'm fortunate to live in an area where you can hunt coin, jewelry, and relics in short distances but they all take a different mindset. e.g. I may not want to dig jewelry in 90 degree heat where i have to dig everything...

Gold and silver using the sp28 coil. Simplex power!!!!!

Great video HR. Most of the finds looks really deep. How is the ID with the 13"? The Simplex integrates DISC and notch and we are too trashy in the states so you can't combine them too much w/o losing depth. Thanks again.

    Road trip illinois 3 days

That's a good idea. I have a good friend who is is not using his a lot now who will probably loan me his. We even thought the WM10 might be dropping the tone but then realized the problem had something to do with the internal speaker. Even a wrist watch rubbed under any coil will only produce...

    Road trip illinois 3 days

Sube i've had it in the shop at least 4 times to no avail. Basically it maintains the threshhold tone, but shortly after swinging begins to stop giving an elevated tone when I hit at object. Then nothing works, reset, on/off nothing. They offered to replace mother boards but could about pay for...

    Road trip illinois 3 days

Are u still primarily using the 6"? There are some some really good machines that are unbelievably quick and light that can pull them out but the problems is that beyond a few inches in this kinds of trash they cant recognize a good target on a screen. Since ML is unable to even tell me what...

I'll Have to Go Too XP Deus2 School for a Semester

First forget the factory manuels and order Andy's book. Most of them are sorely lacking although Mackro's are pretty good. SMR machines tend to be better turn on an go once you learn them but few have more than about 8 factory programs, thats a lot. Might want to just learn learn your...

First Try of 7 Inch Concentric Coil on Anfibio Multi

Pardon my ignorance, but isnt the Anfibio a single multi rather than an SMF machine? Wish they may made a few more larger concentrics even though they are harder to pinpoint. Are deeper in the right areas.

    XY program question

I used the XY a lot when I first began using the deus a number of years ago. What I don't like is when you have say a coin and iron mixed it will show the iron squiqqle on the screen rather than the coin straight line so you have to listen for the right tone. I'd rather just listen w/o the screen.

    Super modified CTX?

BK don't want to seem facetious but that seems like a lot of work that may not work. Have you considered just doing a harness like you'd do with the 17" and just doing shorter hunts? I have a terrible back. I have the 3030 and the Deus 1 and love them both but I reserve the D1 for the really...

How many remember the very first detector you started the hobby with and how long ago ??

Me too, not worth two dead flies but better things a coming.

Hello all. New to forums and new to the ctx.

Ironman your pattern settings are what I use 90% of the time but I talk to guys sometimes who believe the "deep" "trash" settings are OK but not really that crucial more a function of coil size on a double-d. What says ye? thanks.

    Will Deus 1 be obsolete?

I haven't seen seen anyone say that it is actually deeper at all but but I have heard suggestions that that the ID is is better deeper. Perhaps someone can confirm.

    Is it worth the hype?

First a slight correction. The Deus 1 is a multi frequency machine but only does one kfz at a time. The Deus 2 is a simultaneous multiple frequency machine(SMF) that combines the kfz at the same time to gain the best tone for what you are hunting. I'm not one to rush out and buy the latest...
