    Went to an old homesite after church with a couple of friends and was blessed with a small spur while Grasshopper scored a 1861 Fatty.

    STERLING BELT BUCKLE

    Enjoyed some beautiful weather at home site from 1800's. It is a bean field now will be corn this year so probably won't go back until it's beans again. Lots of rivets, lead seals and trash but managed to pull out this sterling ladies belt buckle.

    Finally warmed up enough for me to get out. Went to an old home site and parked at our church then walked in. Found the Barber dime 1907 at our church the flat button at the home site along with lamp parts and other junk. Rooster found the lead, looks chewed to us.hi

    Found my Great Grandfather’s headstone

    Found my Great grandfather's stone too my mother remembered him when she was young. He was severely wounded at the battle of Moore's Mill in July of 1862 and unable to serve the rest of the war from mini ball to the groin. After digging my first 3 ringer I don't see how he survived or functioned...

    Detecting after hip/ knee replacement

    I thought I was going to have to give up detecting 5 years ago because of my knees, couldn't stand to kneel down and uneven ground tore me up. Had both knees replaced and did the rehab like I was instructed and now am as good as I was 20 years ago.

    has anyone used the cheaper pinpointers like amazon sales?

    I got one of the GP brand for a backup and they are better than nothing but no comparison to the Garrett. They had about a one inch range which I was able to find the targets and they were inexpensive.
