First Rosie of the year!

Old coin hunter

Well-known member
Went to a place i've already detected and it was really muddy so i decided to detect the graveled area from the back of the curb to the property line. Found fourteen coins including this Rosie. It's not in good shape but silver is silver. It was between 7 and 8 inches down and the vdi was jumping all over but It sounded like silver and you never know until you dig, and luckily it was silver this time. Simplex with the SP-24 coil, park1 to start and could barely hear it at full sense moved it to Field at full sense and could hear it better. HH Jim.

You are completely correct, silver is silver! Getting it a bit deeper makes it more of a find as well, good job!

That coin was born the same year I was 1952.
I've hunted many a 8 hour days and never found any silver so getting one silver falls into the bonus category In my world.

Nice start and to a hopefully better year for all,,
Mark

Even though that rosie has been thru some rough treatment it is still a good find.
