You've probably heard it a hundred time....

Hard to get into the hobby with something that isn't going to perform well. Good luck finding your ring. If you don't find it with your new battery drainer see if there is a club in your area and ask for help from them. If there isn't a club just come back and post your town. Someone will be close by somewheres that can help.

Some of these detectors are just toys and will not pickup anything unless it touches it. Some even then you have a hard time getting it to signal on a item that small as a ring. If you cant find it with this detector than the best is to see if there is anyone in your area that has a good detector and most will be glad to help you.

Good luck and I hope you can find your ring with it.

What price can be put on something (hobbie, etc)that we enjoy doing. I have five different detectors, I don't think I could ever get my money back with my finds. I live in a small town in eastern Ky and hunt old homesites in the hollows and hills. Don't think theres any big treasures to find here but I enjoy hunting for it. When you get a good signal its the mystery of what it is and the ocasional pleasure of finding a good find. I find a lot of old square nails, canning jar lids, and sometimes a good coin. Nothing of great value, but its still a piece of history. Don't ever expect to make a profit on my investment, but I enjoy metal detecting and again I say What price do you put on that???
It don't get any better!!!!!!!!
