hi there been reading your posts all very interesting iv just bought my exterra 705 and im out on my hunt on the weekend in a forest in england gonna look for pretty much anything do you have any recommended settings il be posting my finds on here when i get some cheers if u have any tips cya....happy hunting

The best tip that I can give you for huntting in the woods is to wear safty glasses and I'm not joking. I almost learned that the hard way a few years a go. After that I never MD in the wood with out safty glasses that have side shields.

hi mark ,once again i have a question. you have a x terra 505 with the 10.5"dd 7.5khz coil on it.do you really like this coil rather than the standard one?why i'm asking is that i just bought an x terra 305 and wanted to get another coil for it .i've tried the 6"hf dd coil and it didn't do anything for me.blowfly hh

blowfly, I love the 10.5 DD 7.5 coil for three reasons. I don't have much for mild ground around here, it's a little on the hot side. The DD coil deals with the hotter ground a lot better then the stock concentric coil does. second, I like the size of the coil because I like to MD big open areas, ball fields, parks, school yards and farm fields. third, I like to use a 7.5 kHz coil because I am a coin shooter.
