Hey, I'm new with this stuff, still thinking about getting me an MXT, but still not sure.. Which person here is from Little Falls, MN? My wife grew up there and talks about it all the time.. She was a Norberg when living there, but now she lives in Great Falls, MT with me, ofcourse.. Hah! But let me know who you are so I can share this with her.. Later, Cliff

Good morning everyone,

Wife and I are in the Arizona gold country, Prescott Valley.

We are here most of the year with some short forays into Viet Nam and Germany to see family.I have started trying to figure how we can take the detector into Viet Nam as there are so many silver dollars and french coins all over the place, but the communist do not like "strange" equipment. Of course besides the coins there are lots of other stuff to find. The Vietnamese MAKE metal detectors out of junk and old batteries and sell the finds to tourist. I have some old communist metals and other items, found myself while with an older guy out in the northern parts of old "south Vietnam" when I was there a few years back checking out my old patrol areas. I will have to get some photos up of our finds here so far and the finds I made in Viet Nam while using this guys homemade metal detector. I hope I still can find the picture of him and his creation. You can also dig up old bombs and mines, so you really need to be "defensive" while detecting.

Of interest perhaps, yes, she is Vietnamese and from the north. I am retired ex-military but still "working" as a volunteer deputy for the Yavapai Sheriffs Department, scouting the areas of the county while on patrol. ...and she has sisters in Germany. Now we have a detector, the one sister and her daughter are just dying to get back here for the next visit, to go out and "look".

Best to all wherever you might be.
