Because no one has made any Good X-terra 70, or 705 videos. Me with this 705, and no good videos to watch, and learn from. You'ld think if they are gonna sell this stuff at least they would have already made Some Desant Videos. Not couting the Crappy Old ones they did in the Outback, or where ever it was. I'm just a newbie, so they cant expect me to do all the Hard Work.:detecting: Geeezzzz

Theirs a Ton of E-trac videos out their, whats wrong is the X-terra line so junkie no one want to both with a video? I do like my X-terra 705 But I'm kinda getting really mad that not more people are useing the 705, and showing videos, their should be thousands of videos just on the 70- 705 alone. What gives?

Minelab I just spent over a $1000.00 on this detector, and coils, pinpointers, ect. If This detector cant live up to it's name. You owe me a New E-trac. ( I'm not Smilling either):ranting:

nice post, sure a great way to get help........."If This detector cant live up to it's name. You owe me a New E-trac."

it is not up to minelab, it is up to the guy holding the machine in his hands. From the tone of your post, fairly rude. I would not expect to get a ton of help.

this machines lives up to its name and more you kinda upset me by saying that cause this machines is GOOOOOOOD!!! you just wait and see! and if this machines doesnt live up to its rep. then ok, BUT if it does you can buy me an Etrac, and ill let it sit in the closet and still use my Xterra 70 because its that good!!! i wouldn be leaving post like that one the xterra forum if i were you. we all love the Xterras, but hey who am i go ahead do and think what you want.

Maybe it's because they are too busy diggin' goodies to tape a video....:rofl::bouncy::bouncy::bouncy::minelab:

MINELAB DON"T OWE YOU A DAMN THING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go to youtube and search Minelab Xterra. There are quite a few videos there. This forum and and other sources of information are great to get you headed in the right direction but to get the most out of any machine you have to go out and use it. Try different settings and find out what works best for you. Check the FAQFAQ thread out at the top of the page. There is a ton of great information in there.

maybe next time you should look for videos alittle more intensivly before saying something like that! that was rude and way outta line! i know everyone has their opinion and i honor that, but theres such thing as taking your opinion too far and you done it!! just try it out and let us know. WE'LL ALL BE WAITING

I just don't get it. All the time and energy that members of this forum put into helping other folks learn X-Terra, and you're peed? FYI, the information on this forum didn't just appear over night. And those videos that some of the members have posted didn't get recorded by themselves. It takes time, effort and patience to answer questions, make videos and prepare them for online viewing. Time, effort and patience! I'm down to two out of three, and even one of them ain't lookin too good right now.

As much as I hate to dampen your dreams, if you can't figure out the X-Terra, I wouldn't be bettin' the farm on you learning the eTrac. My suggestion would be to sell the X-Terra and go back to your Ace 250. ...... and I'm not smiling either. :ban: Randy

:poke: :argue: :ban:

You could be right on that, althou he has not posted anything in the Etrac Forum. Let's see if he fires back another intelligent interlude..........

The guy is obviously a troll and probably owns and E-trac and posted in here just to make trouble.

metaldigger,
When you have questions just ask and most of us will be willing (and many happily) to help.

Don't get to upset any machine can be learned. If a man can drive a Yugo he can drive a Porche. I started beeping in April and it took a good bit to learn what I was doing and I am still learning. A guy does have to put in the hours to become adept at any task that requires skill. No body gave me a video to learn how to drive a car but I learned by going out with my folks and it took a good bit to become proficient at it REMEMBER.

Jeff

P.S. I am not comparing an Ace 250 to a Yugo.

P.P.S. There is also the posibility that this hobby or this machine is not for you.

Metaldigger...repeat after me "Our Father Who Are In Heaving". Some people don't have a prior  TomB

MetalDigger, there are videos out there for the 705 but you have to look for them! Not as many as others yes, but maybe that's because we're all busy with our finds and don't feel like slowing down long enough to film! I went from an ACE250 to an Xterra and haven't had any problems at all-the key I think is because I started reading the manual before I ever even ordered the machine. Yes, everybody has questions about certain facets of operation, but once you realize that no detector is a 'magic wand' and then realize that the key lies between your ears, you'll be better off! You ever heard the phrase 'your mileage may vary'? I can guarantee that any video you watch will not EXACTLY apply to your situation-having said that, when it comes to basic machine setup there ARE vids for that. MLO TV has some as has been mentioned.Additionally, because these detectors as so adaptible, the videos you seek may not ever exist in the form of an answer to your specific questions.

What you really want is either somebody to tell you exactly how to run your machine to find what you want where you want...OR...you're messing with us and getting us all riled up...OR...you're wanting to stir up trouble. I've seen your posts elsewhere and don't think it's the latter?

I would suggest you get out and use your detector rather than wait for a video, at least that is what I do.
You have a very good detector by the way but part of using one is learning how to use it.
Detecting is mainly a personal thing and not as much a team sport.
You could sell your Xterra and get the Etrac but with the Etrac there will be more of a learning curve.
First thing to do in learning it is throw some coins, etc on the ground and sweep them, carefully listening
and reading the meter......

I read my manual then i read it again, again, again, i didn't have any video's then. Each time i read my manual i seem to learn something new.
