Also a sterling silver heart pendant, I'll post pics of my finds in this thread tomorrow. The Teknetics G2 is ALL that it's cracked uo to be!! I love mine. I always enter the woods with total confidence. Kevin

hey Godigit

work that's a dirty word  :bouncy:

oh well done on the SD2200v2 should have some fun with that cant wait to hear about the adventures you have with that beauty :clapping: how deep you recon you would find a quarter say?

i got a 2100v2 funny that hey brand spankin new amazing find nearly got it the way i want it, coiltek li ion battery and gold screamer get rid of that harness and a straight shaft and then i wont use it because i don't want to get it dirty, will take a couple of pics when i get it set up? i canrt believe it its a thing of beauty :clapping:

dirt lizard research is classed as detecting i think anyway hope you turn up some good sites!

Steve you getting out over the weekend?

look forward to the pics Kevin and i recon your right the G2/Gold bug goes every where with me now and to think i was going to chuck it glad i persevered with it :clapping:

Few shorter hunts.Lots of pennys some clad.An intresting bullet casing-a .222 I think? Its about .22 caliber but real big casing for a hunting rifle.I collect bullets/casings so that was cool. Also the smallest silver ring I have ever seen-must be a kiddy toe ring or a little toddlers ring?

I was running around Yellowstone for a few days. Boy I wish I could use a detector around some of those areas. Passed by old Pony Express and Orgegon Trail stations coming and going to the park. Mammoth Hot Springs has Fort Yellowstone. Old cabins here and there. But I guess that's what makes it special. I did find some buffaloes, or maybe they found me.

good stuff rockpup always good to add to the collection :clapping:

man jimbog thats an amazing photo thanks for posting it up because thats the only way i would see something like that wow

why is it the places they will not let us hunt are probably the best sites cant hunt national parks here either bugga :ranting:

AJ --

Nope, haven't been to the University yet. I have been thinking -- since many of the older coins may be too deep for the probe method, I'm thinking about asking for permission to hunt all the private properties on campus -- houses and such, and if I can get permission from the owners of some of the homes right on campus, where I can actually dig, that may be the best way to find the old coins...

Steve

While I have never seen one on the road there are a few local to ca spots where there are bison..as well as ostrich.
Gotta love the people that raise exotic meat..

Steve

must be a big place ? people own houses on the campus not seen that here, guess things are different hey.

i found a 2002 US penny today in a school only one that dosnt have a fence, needless to say not much else

just did some driving around see if i could see any spots worth having a go at, geeze to find a spot no body had done would be like heaven :sleepy:

oh well always bring something home so cant complain hey !!

hope you get in to dig :clapping:

Yep, AJ. It's a big university. Lots of houses along the fringe of the campus. Frat houses, sorority houses, rental houses, professors' houses...you name it.

Hope you find a new spot that hasn't been hit too hard, you are doing great with the Bug!

Take care,

Steve

hey Steve

could be anything in there sounds good, silvers, jewelry you know shinny things

sounds like a movie :bouncy: you guys really know how to do education and have fun at the same time i would have loved it over there not sure how much i would have learned LOL :lmfao:

when my head is clear the bug works great when i am forcing it to find good targets it hurts  it sure can pick round things out of the junk no doubt about it and my junk rate is dropping its the go to machine in the junk its just that shear speed that does it.

wonder what tomorrow will find me :poke:

well better let us know when you get in there i want to go look too

Hey Amberjack,
Sorry for taking a while to get back. That four letter word is keepin me down. Congrats on the 2100. Sounds like you got a good deal. Mine also came with the li ion package plus extra coils and lots of extras . But it didnt come with the screamer so a amp is in order. Does yours have the fast track mod on it yet? I just purchased the stuff to do it my self. Once done Ill post some pics for you if you want and give you a parts list. I got everything to do the mod for less than $40 including buying a soldering iron. I don't know about Quarter depth yet Ive only had it out a couple times experimenting. I cleaned out a 20 by 20 foot area in a park with the gold bug and then checked with the 2200 and there were allot of targets beyond gb range. I picked one that sounded pretty deep and tried to get it but after digging to elbow depth and the ground becoming hard and rocky I gave up. I know it was not a false target because sticking the gold bug in the hole I could get it with it. I mighnt try it again with the 5 inch coil so I can get it into the hole and pinpoint. It was reading a vdi in the low 40s so Im really wondering what it is. Wish I could get on to your side of the world to do some bush hunting but stuck here tell i find that big one.LOL
Have you tried your SD at the beach yet? I think it might be a bit deeper than your dual field but not water prof. Good for dry areas!
Good Luck out there.

hi godigit1
hey you got the 2200 set up good with the li ion and extra coils :clapping: wow they are deep!! KOOL, i remember i was talking with this guy over here he was selling nuggets on ebay and was telling me he was on the way back from looking still swingin and his daughter wanted to go, he said go behind the rock or log anyway he just picked up a target on ground they had been over dug 5grams and then they ended up pulling 32 oz's of gold from a patch and he had already looked there! i don't know how true it is but he was selling a lot of gold so? just proves nowhere is hunted out? even if i have already been over it with the same detector

mine is stock and haven't even fired it up yet brought it from the states and come with a US charger so waiting on an Aussie one will be here this week, i just took some pics and started freakin out its a fake why does it have a GP series coil? made in 07 so i guess it could have come with that on? brought it from a big dealer over there so will be fine i just sent minelab an email with serial number, if it is a fake its a dam good one LOL, see pic's

will be getting the li ion battery's in 2 weeks or so then look out beach  sounds like i will be diggin deep can get a salt coil wonder if that would do any good on the wet sand? don't want to get water on it but hey but looking forward to taking it down there once i get it set up the way i want it.

mod sounds good will it work on mine ? as it doesn't have auto tracking which i thought maybe good so i will know when hitting hotter ground (where the nuggets are?) you can run yours not in auto tracking?

interested to see what the fast track mod is though cheers for that !! let us know what you find down there :detecting: and thanks heaps for the post very good !!

i recon it might kick duel fields butt on the sand who knows whats down there and the deul field goes deep too so there might be some scary holes to dig?

will you be able to get on the site you where talking about?

sorry for high jacking the thread guys  anyway its something different to read and my gold bug will come with me looking for those little babys that this monster will miss so it is part gold bug info too :clapping:
