Yesterdays finds...

NEVER keep the electronics box attached to the mounting shaft / downrod. ALWAYS belt or chest mount the electronics box. The electronics box also floats so when you get it underwater when attached to the shaft / downrod it requires energy to keep the coil to the bottom. When belt / chest mounted, no problem with it trying to float and the coil wanting to float is not noticed unless you drop it. It takes more effort to swing against the water resistance than it does to keep the coil down.

As Keith suggests, the coil stabilizer keeps the coil in a fixed position.
