Hello i just want an answer of yes or no or %, this is my question from your last detector you used and the ctx, have you improve your findings

Thanks!

Yes, I have found stuff I missed, that had iron in the hole with it, in places that we hunted hard. I think the Ferrous-Coin separation is excellent.

yes - silver finds went from 1 every 10 hours (pre-ctx) to 1 every 3 hours (post-ctx) . basically same type of areas

Yes
Found coins missed with Etrac

Yes.......my E-Trac kept for a backup, will be for sale soon. I fiddled with the E-Trac the other day and it felt very heavy and awkward. I hadn't used it for a year since getting the CTX.

YES

Went from a White's 6000 Pro Di SL to an E-trac to a CTX. I had a total of about 5 or 6 silvers with the Whites, and it is/was a really great machine. To about 30 with the E-trac over a year and last July I started with the CTX. Since August 6 of 2012 I have found over 160 silver coins, not even counting the dozens of rings, pins, chains, etc., with the CTX. I usually hunt about 5 hours each hunt, and about 3 times a week and on average I would say I get better than a silver a hunt here in the Houston area. The answer is more involved than that of course, luck, location, consistency of good sites, patience, preparation, and having a machine that with a great amount of practice will find darned near every coin, regardless of soil or trash.

Yup

It is hard to argue with the above replies. For me, I am not so sure. I bought the CTX 3030 for it`s features, Geo Hunts and tracking finds to establish patterns. It is also hard to argue with the success of other detectors posted on FMA. In my test field, my back yard, I keep finding things with all my detectors after repeated hunts. I guess that says more about my poor detecting skills. IMHO, if you have a good detector, learn to set it up properly, and listen and understand what it is telling you, you will find more and better things.

I pounded my back yard to death with the etrac and cleaned it out. I took my ctx out there and uncoved 2 silver dimes and a silver quarter that the etrac had missed. The silver quarter was coming up 22-46 24-45 solid. It had a nail luring right on top of it. I was a firm believer from that day forward

Yes!

My ratio of a good find to junk dug out improved dramatically AND CTX allowed me to hunt some iron infested spots I gave up on before!

Definitely! I'm amazed at the separation of good targets in trash, excellent pinpointing and the accuracy of the depth indicator. It's not hype, I owned several Explorers, an Etrac and an Excalibur.

yes for me and the last 5 hunts have giving me silver. I was in a slump for a while but ctx brought me back out of it . Heres the thing I dont understand is I CHECKED EVERY silver i found in the last 5 hunts that was still in the ground with each program . I thought they sounded the same same location on screen but with a slight diffrence in numbers of course . I had discrimation on and off an hit the target from every angle . That brings me to my question . I wonder if being simple on programs is the way to go for most or if trying to out think the machine is hurting the rewards on others
