XP DEUS II 14 TO 17 INCH NICKLE ON SOUTH CAROLINA WET SAND BEACH

Wow! Beast mode for sure! I've already sold my equinox 800 and 600 and simplex and my deus 1 is gone as soon as the D2 bits my door step.

Thank you guys for all the information. I'm supposed to have mine in the next month or so. I'm really looking forward to saying goodbye to Minelab.

I am not going to get a disagreement with you on the Deus forum but I am gonna say you need to buy a new tape measure. 14 inch nickle on edge....:ROFLMAO: Please do bury one at 14 and show us on your beach cause it aint happening on mine. Nox is done for all practical purposes unless someone likes swinging a nose heavy uncomfortable detector.

Too funny for sure. I just got a new Tape Measure made for Grandpa's today! What a thrill I got from my grandson.

Your beach is a smooth gray/almost white type sand, very very fine - we have that type sand in Wildwood NJ.
Up near me in Sea Bright all the way down to SeaSide NJ and a little further, is a course sand like tiny tiny bits, it holds air and is very porous.
Here in NJ there are about 10 different types of sand spread over 125 miles from mid Jersey all the way to the south end of NJ.

Everyone knows that minelabs - from Explorer series to CTX and now NOX are killer magnets for nickles. Either flat, on edge or straight up and down, it don't matter just ask Sube or IDXmonster they both post on this site forums.

I am not trying to disagree with you - just stating a fact that and that is because I have been using minelabs many many years, about fifteen I would guess.
Please don't fret non....I love your videos, your details and time that you put into them. Thanks for that effort.

I haven't detected since November 21st - maybe covid thing maybe personal old fella crap but I have been home couch surfing too long. Hopefully I'll break out of my funk and get out there for some coins and stuff.
Best of luck in 2022 for you and all of your hunting buddies.

I know minelab machines are good been using the Nox from the first batch... I am done with the Nox ... I am not brand loyal I use what works the best for what I do... Minelab kings of the beach ?...IMO No more...Have you read the Deus II manual? If not go look at the beach program freqs.....IMO going to find the gold left in the sand by the others over the years....

I like the first tones on the nickel nice mid tone sound ill be getting one but not pre ordering one !

Calabash, have you ever found a US nickel at that depth with a Nox?
Here in NJ I have, and some are standing start up, which causes me to dig towards one side of the whole.
Tony
I find coins on the beach with my Nox over 14" they are not great sounding signals but I know to dig them..

I have in the dry sand. I think I have found Nickels that deep in dry sand with deus 1, vanquish 540 and the nox. But once in wet sand only the nox goes that deep. Then once water flows in the hole with target I lose more depth. So I'm guessing somewhere between 12-14" in watery sand with nox. Bama beaches are white sugar sand . So if the deus can match the nox , which it seems to have at least achieved that, then the nox won't be needed at all by me or my buddy. Way too many benefits in the deus 2 over the equinox.

Calabash, I understand and believe me I am interested in using the latest tech out there. I am excited about the Deus II and will continue to watch videos on it as they come out.
I did get a Nokta Impact and used it almost daily for eight months before I bought a NOX.
The Impact goes deep and I was able to find very thin old tokens and large cents with it. I feel that machine and Nox and now Deus II are made to find very thin coins like hammered silvers in Europe, but that is my opinion. Reason is - I found them in areas I hunted with other machines, including Exp II and didn’t find them.
Best of luck/keep up the videos - they are terrific!
