Anyone used the MXT and XLT one the dry and wet sand. IF so can you tell me the differance in the way they preform?
Thank's

i use my mxt on the dry sand, not to stable in the wet

Also keeps reasonable depth. Also make sure you have it in salt mode.
After putting it in salt mode I pump it up and down. If it settles down within 10 - 15 pumps I think it is about as sensitive as can be tolerated.
If it keeps making noises, decrease sensitivity/gain. If it goes quiet within a couple of pumps, increase the sensitivity.
Watch those waves. MXT don't like no salt water. Wipe your detector down with cloth and fresh water each day.
Notice the haze as you look down the beach line. That haze is salt water from the breaking waves. It is all over your detector. Don't belive me? Look at your glasses when you get back to your room/camper.
I also used relic mode and 0 discrimination.
