Log as I can run it in 2 tone all metal, I'll give it a shot. Someone told me that I could set up the Nox like a X-Terra and I tried, well, I sold the Nox!
Just wonder if it has auto trac on it?

I'd bet it has Tracking, and it has saltwater capability that the 705 lacked, but lost the no-motion Prospector Mode w/IM.

705 had a beach mode. I can't say if it was very good but if they run 5 and 15 at the same time on this then it would be a great beach detector

Beach Mode on a 705 never handled wet salt sand at all. The new Pro is supposed to, and I can't fathom how they do it with a single frequency VLF machine, but time will tell. Being an all-digital detector, it's all in the programming.

Is this something new from Minelab? It looks like an Equinox with green handles. I don't see much about it.

Your correct. It uses the same algorithm that the 600/800.
it is a single frequency detector that will stand ground with the 600/800.
it is waterproof to 16 feet.
all the coils for the Equinox will work on it.
now here’s the good thing. If you buy a 12” coil for the Equinox on Amazon it’s gonna cost you between $235 to $260 .but you get a 12” coil on the Exterra Pro complete for $269.
Now the 600/800: have been known to leak. So I’d rather submerge a $269:detector before I would submerge a $600/$800.
Do the math. I have both the 600/800. And as of today a Xterra Pro. even if it did go bad I still have a 12” coil.
im sure Minelab has fixed the leak problem. My 600/800 will never be submerged again.

Minelab X-TERRA PRO - Real or Fake? - Treasure Hunting World

Minelab very clearly stated some years ago that they would only make simultaneous multi-frequency machines going forward. So it does seem a little strange that we are now hearing rumours of a relaunched X-Terra series.

I have the new Xterra Pro and the Equinox 600/800 and the new Xterra Pro will keep up with the Equinox.
it was brought out to compete with the Simplex. The new Exterra pro uses the same algorithm that the 600 and 800 equinox use. This new detector will be the # 1 detector on the market for its low price. The quality is top notch.
It closes down to to 25”. All Equinox coils will work on it.

The 12” coil that comes on the X Terra Pro only works on the Pro, it won’t work on the Equinox even though Nox coils work on the Pro. I don’t know why but it’s a one way situation.

Not really.
Not all V-Flex is the same, which is part of the reason we can't use our old Xterra coils on the new machines, and why we couldn't use CTX coils on the old machines.
Frankly, I'm just happy that we can use Equinox coils at all.
