Wow!! 2010 Ends(?) with a dream hunt!

Well, I hope to get at least one more outing in, but I am not sure if the weather is going to cooperate.

Here are more finds from my "hunted out" site from the weekend including 15 buttons, 2 Large Cents (1817 and a 1796 that only has a date with no other detail).

The highlights are the 1830's eagle button and the silver 18th century cufflinks.

SEF vs. stock coil? I think the photos tell all.

Even if you don't get out again, you have had a great year Neil, I love the cuff link. Have you done any research on the fruit token?

so did you use the sef or stock coil during this hunt?? or did i miss something?

BTM, I was using the SEF coil. I think I may as well solder the connection onto my V3i, because I think it is there to stay!!!!

Penn Fruit was established in 1927. My guess is that it is depression era. I think the following link is interesting and ironic because A&P announced today that they are filing for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection!

Wow, what an interesting article Neil........ and so ironic about A&P.

Congratulations on some super finds Neil! Thanks for the great pictures. I love how those cufflinks (first pic I think) are hooked together.

Once you do, you will find many. It is funny how these things happen. I had not found one since July 2009, then since September I have found 5 or 6.

Which SEF coil are you using and are you using the SEF coil in the boost mode??

The boost overloads the coil. I never used it with the D2, as it seemed to false a lot with it on. If it is deep and questionable or no Disc signal, I dig it.

You may not have seen this one from last Friday!
