we had other ways of cooking....no propane but wood provided heat and for cooking! Can always make a campfire to cook over and a tent to live in, if the worst comes...have lots of caves in Missouri but cold and damp...sure wouldn't want to live in one with my arthritis already so bad with achy bones! :sad: Where there is a will, there is a way....many of our forefathers and ancestors did!
