Would you detect an old store basement with a dirt floor?

look at the sandstone walls in the basement for no mortar. I was in a basement like that with a dirt floor, noticed one stone didnt have any mortar and behind it was a heavy old brown sack.....oh i had visions of gold and silver coins for sure! turned out to be a gun in there.
