The DF has a volume control in the box... it does go deep, and you will dig much more than the VLF guy...
I've been using my DF about a year and a half. Deep is the word. My only issue is when i am in black sand... a bit chattery. But a learned ear can hear deep targets that might be missed with different machines. I use a large stealth 8 scoop ... and digging has become second nature. Fanning in other areas does well. I will be adding either an Excal 2 or an Fisher CZ-21 soon to my arsenal . HH Mikey
