Wish I had my money back!!

I agree with him....I want my money back! The money I paid on all of my past detectors for the past 30 years.

If I lived closer to the beach, I would have my money back pretty quick.

Well, I am new to CTX, and I haven't found anything of interest (or value) thus far, but I kinda like the machine. Anything that is complex intrigues me. I've got 115 acres of dirt to explore and when I get done with that I'll feel I got my money's worth, no matter what I find or don't find. However, since 100 acres of that is an old pre-civil war farm that was in one of the skirmish areas, I expect that I'll find something of interest if not of value.

I do not expect to get my "investment" in the CTX back in terms of $$, but I will get at least that $$ amount in enjoyment.

Guy's , I have been questioning my purchase of 3030 also. I have had it out at least 10 times and olny found one silver roosie. I was excited in anticipation of taking it to a few spots that were fresh when I got their with the etrac, but only disappointed with no finds from masked targets. I feel like the advertised seperation from trash, was very simular to what was said about the etrac. I had discussion today with my partner that purchased 3030 same time and place about possibly looking inot the ground balance aspect a little more. I say this because my machine is telling me that auto 12 is where i need to be. Anytime, I get a 12... manual mode gets selected. Gotta run at least 22-24 in my opinion to get any depth. Running in combined with modified silver mode. Any comment welcome, as I'm not ready to give up, buy way ready to realize the benefits that were marketed. Thanks, HH

I think location is key no matter what detector you have. Although I believe the CTX to be a huge improvement over the Etrac, you may have found 90% of the targets with the E and that means that not every 10x10 or 20x20 area will hold a good target but instead you may have 1 good target in a 100x100 area. JMO but for me that 1 coin I missed at a hunted out spot with the Etrac is worth my purchase of the CTX. I mainly dig colonial and that could mean one heck of a find. HH and GL Joe

ps...I had it out for about 20 hours before finding my first silver. It was a mixture of learning curve and having the coil over the target. Hang in there because now I have been finding silver every time out, knock on wood.

#1 Rule to find good items: Find a good place to hunt
#2 Rule to find good items: Find a good detector
#3 Rule to find good items: Find a good place to hunt

Also if the recommended sensitivity is <18 I use Ground Coin (GC). I get awesome depth with it and it really does work in high mineralization. Just be careful with trashy areas...its slower than high trash
