Wish I had my money back!!

Had mine since day 1 and have yet to find anything amazing but you could not pay me to swing anything else I know when my coil lands where a real keeper is I will find no matter what .

It is a pain to have to dig so deep in this dry soil. Get your self a Lesche Sampson shovel. It'll make the digging easier.

I feel your pain. The other day I kept getting solid loud coin signals showing 8, 9 or 10 inches or more. Geez its too hot and humid to be digging that deep.

Dug 10 silver dimes, a silver ring, a gold ring, and a Large cent this weekend. I hate digging in hard dirt too, but this machine is a killer!

Had my 3030 over a week now, All I can say is Cant wait to get rid of it!!
It took me two weeks of hard hunting to get the machine down to where I was comfortable enough to rely on it.. Now with a month on it,, it would take a prybar, from my cold dead fingers.. It takes time.. I hunt a lot, a week is not near enough time to grasp any machine, at least not one with the learning curve this one has...

Day one with the CTX I wasn't real impressed. Day two after making some program tweaks I pulled 8 wheaties and 2 silvers from a place we beat to death. I'm still learning this machine, going from an Explorer XS to the CTX was a big change for me..My shoulder and elbow are thanking me for making the change.

All I can say this detector is Killing on the deep coin I live in Indiana and it is bone dry i got the Lesche simpson shovel now I can dig at those deep coin if you do not want to dig the deep target just leave them and I will dig them.

Well, let's see. Number 1-metal detectors don't manufacture coins/jewelry no matter how great they are.
Number 2- some dealers will take your detector back and you'll be reimbursed a large portion if not all of your money.
Number 3- if you couldn't afford the detector you shouldn't have purchased it in the first place.
Number 4- if you decide to not ever use it and not sell it, it will make a nice door stop.

Salty Dog, Send me a PM or email and I will try to help you.. There is somewhat of a learning curve or you have a bad machine. I can help you with either situation. Richard

What don't you like about it?----Maybe we can help you out.----It seems a bit premature to get rid of such a good machine after only a week of owning it, unless there is a valid reason you haven't stated in your situation.---------Del

other than a single post on the Views forum, this guy has only made one other Findmall post in the past three years. And it was made more than two years ago. A dozen posts total, in the past 5 years. So, even though your intentions were good in wanting to help him out with the CTX 3030, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it as it might be another two years before he comes back to read your responses. I suspect he is just blowing :smoke: JMHO HH Randy

The Ctx is an real performer,Im very impressed with the machine overall, look for those nice deep repeating signals,I dig them all if the co numbers are over 38,stick with it,watch the Target trace it provides great secondary information, and above all do not get frustrated it takes time to tune you're ears to her,as it does with any new machine! My very first signal and dig was silver with her,and I am very proud to say I have never been silver skunked with this detector as of yet!!! Don't give up!!! In order to find silver it has to be there and you must get that coil over it!:smoke:

Now this is what I call a dealer that really cares about your frustrations. Richard at Backwoods Detectors will get you going saltydog one way or the other. :poke:

Yes i agree the ctx 3030 is a great machine and Richards from backwoods detectors is a great guy ive been dealing with him for a while he is always there to help

A dealer friend lent me his CTX for a week, because of time constraints, grandkids you know! I could only get out for a short time for a few days. So I hit some spots I knew we had pounded with the E-Tracs. The first was a very junky school yard and I got 5 nickels hiding amongst trash, the next another school yard where I got 4 more in trash. Next a park with an old house on it, that has been hunted by everybody in our club...and his brother and sister! Got more clad in junk and a very nice Bell. While not being able to really hunt a whole lot I am impressed with it and when the time comes I will get one, being retired finances overule desires. I can reccomend the CTX and look forward to when I have my own.

Here is the Bell.

awesome find.. just goes to prove with a little FBS knowledge this machine can produce...
