Winter is coming soon!!!

When I am able to detect I can pretty much detect year round here in Arizona, summers here where I live are in the mid 80s to mid 90s with and occasional few days that get over 100 in the winter the temps are in the 50s-70s with a few days in the 30s or 40s so its almost perfect weather here to detect any time I want to when I am able to, rite now I am Unable to detect at all due to my wife's health issues

I used to live in Arizona. I lived near Gila Bend and was in Yuma and Phoenix at various times. Back then I was a kid and did not have a metal detector but man the winters were nice down there and I wish I would have been detecting then. I am envious of you Oldkoot of being able weather wise to detect year round. Best wishes to you and your wife during these trying times for you both.

Here I been waiting to get away from the triple digit summer heat wanting much cooler weather to get going again. Well it finally came but only got out a few times, then we got into doing work on the house (new kitchen, flooring etc.). Then I wanted to check out a couple parks but few times there was some events going on so couldn't detect.
Winter we don't get snow. I want to get out as park events should ease up - now just been hit with the bomb cyclone plus getting colder (never bothered me past years) but seems the cool temps bother me now like never before - getting older I guess I can't take the heat & cold anymore. So instead of going on a regular basis this winter guess it may become a day here & there on nicer winter days.

Thanks Odanscoils for the information. I am right in that goldelt too. I live in southwest VA. I am looking to buy a Lobo ST and will keep the gold belt info in mind.
